DynastyMattress CoolBreeze2 (Medium-Firm) Cooling Gel Memory Foam Mattress-Split King

We bought this Cool Breeze 2 mattress to replace the first generation Cool Breeze which lasted us 3 years. Three things noted so far:1. There was ZERO odor when we opened the mattress, unlike the first one which had an overwhelming smell initially. We still let this one sit for 3 days to air out and fully expand......more like we didn't have time mid week to switch mattresses.2. This mattress feels a bit softer from day one, unlike the first one which was a touch too hard for me in the beginning. I am a side sleeper (about 145 lb) so need a bit of cushioning for the hips. My husband, a back sleeper (about 200 lb), said it was very comfortable for him. He prefers a much firmer bed than I. Today (first day sleeping on it) he was able to sleep in, which had become impossible with the older one. After 3 years his back was hurting too much after 6 hours of sleep. I also slept very well.3. It does seem a little cooler at night. Maybe it's all in my head due to the more silky cover on it but I do not recall waking up too hot.So far we are happy with the purchase. Normally hubby wears through mattresses fast, needing a new one every 4 years. Traditional pillow tops were costing us $1,800-2,000 every 4 years. With the Cool Breeze 2 costing $500 and lasting 3 years comfortably it seems like a bargain over pillow tops.I will post more updates as time goes.1 YEAR UPDATE: Hubby's back started hurting a few months before we hit the 1 year mark. With the original version backache started closer to the 3 year mark. I believe the new one being softer right from the beginning meant he wore through it faster. Unfortunately we will have to replace this one. Going by our previous price comparison, we are still breaking even compared to if we had paid for a traditional pillow top mattress. This time we are leaning towards a hybrid memory foam with individual coils. We will be buying in store though since compressing coils tends to compromise them and we are going for the firmness and support they offer.

It really has decent cooling properties on the top. It's a strange change to go from a regular mattress to a foam based one. I never got to try the original Dynastymatress. Came with no pillows but with a 30 year warranty. It's decent in my opinion but my wife loves it. Happy wife happy life I suppose. It was pretty smelly the flame retardant smell lasted 3 - 4 days before kinda dispersing.

We like everything about this bed. It's comfortable and nothing hurts when we get up in the morning.

I like the comfort. Dislike the fact that after a few days a subtle smell emerged from the mattress. I have to keep my head on pillows, because I can't put my face right on the bed.

Terrible mattress, this is not medium firm, you sink right down i to this mattress, very uncomfortable. Do Not Buy!

Very cool to sleep on. Like unbelievably cool. Ice cold to the touch. Very close to a tempurpedic. Closer than any memory foam brand I tried in store.

Great for about 1 month, they it starts to get really soft. I tried contacting customer service and left 2 voicemails. My sister and I have sent numerous of emails and got no response. I wanted to see if we could exchange if it was a defect or if we can get a firmer mattress if they all soften up after a few months of use but no response.
