Carpentry

This is a great book that is somewhat overwhelming for the level of carpentry that I am familiar with. It really does cover everything, and in great detail as well, from residential to commercial. I've been a contractor for 8 years and I would definitely recommend this book, it has helped a great deal in remembering certain formulas for various applications: from stringer, to rafters, foundations, and lumber load strengths. I can't keep all that knowledge in my head. I get questions about stuff in this book all the time from family members, they are usually the worst, now I can refer them to something. If someone wants to know the load capacity of their 10' staircase, this book will tell you.

This book is great! It details residential construction along with visuals, diagrams and explanations that will help the reader really understand how the process of construction comes together. I love using this book for all of my references and inquiries. I highly, highly recommend this book for anyone in the construction, architectural and engineering industries.

The book is in New/Excellent condition and has the adjoining cd for a deeper learning experience...so excited to read this!

Although it is exactly what I need, I assumed the study disc came with this order (being new and still in plastic). It didn't come with a CD, but I am not complaining since it's $30 cheaper than school offers it.

The book was still in great condition when I got it. It's great resource for framing, roofing, finishes, and modern applications to residential and industrial construction.

A great reference book. It has everything from the basics to very advanced. It's broke down into good sections that are clear and concise.

Absolutely love this book. Using it for my AAS Carpentry Degree and couldn’t be happier. Very technical, while at the same time be readable. The illustrations are fantastic and the add-on DVD is a great study tool.

Great book! Price was the same as the school. However the school was out of stock. I would have liked to get the book for less here on Amazon.
