Gundlach Super-Soft Knee Pads X-Large (Extra Large)

Okay, it's not like I've tried this style of knee pads before (single strap), but my brother is in construction and swears by them--he's had the same pair after years of daily use! I can see why! They are soooo comfortable! The single strap at the top of your calf keeps them in place and therefore is no discomfort behind your knee.So far I mostly have used them in the garden which is WAY better than moving around that stupid foam kneeling pad, which blows away on windy days or if you move to a different spot to work on and then realize you need to kneel so you have to go find it--so annoying.The construction is excellent! Durable and so comfortable you can wear them all day, and they stay put! They are worth every penny, best investment ever!

I am a 54 year old man who has had two knee surgeries, has Osgood Schlotter's on the same knee, and who has arthritis in both knees. I am installing LVP flooring and base molding in my entire house. I tried three other types of knee pads and still had a lot of pain: first a yellow and black nylon pair, then an all-foam type from Home Depot, and then a rubber-foam and hard rubber type from Home Depot. All three left me with so much pain that I could not work on the house the next day and was moving like an old man. Then after reading a lot of reviews and watching videos, I found these Gundlach pads. I was so impressed with them that I was laughing as I described to my wife how great they are. I even use them outside in the garden now. They stay on my knees -- which is no easy feat because I inherited my dad's "chicken legs," meaning we have strong thighs but almost no calf. Second, they're super easy to put on and take off, which is very different from the nylon-shelled ones I had whose straps slip or the rubber ones which have a rubber button-strap hookup which is very hard on my arthritic fingers. Third, and most importantly, they shield my knees from all pain from the floor. I can work in these, mostly in a crouch for 8-12 hours without any pain on the front of my knees. (The inner joints hurt after several hours, of course, but this is a function of my arthritis and isn't something that knee pads can overcome.)One thing I must strongly recommend, though, is to wear these pads with shorts. The gel in the padding has enough give to it that wearing long pants can leave you with blisters if you plan to be on your knees for days at a time. I learned this the hard way. It probably would have happened with any of my other knee pads, though.I like these knee pads so much that I bought my wife a pair -- and threw out my other three sets of knee pads.

I hardly know they are there because of the single strap. Sometimes I forget I have them on and protect my bad knees

I got these knee pads to replace the flooring in my office from a very thick pile carpet to laminate plank. I started the project using the knee pads I had used for years - you know the kind, with the rubber straps on the back, which you cannot use with shorts, unless you want to painfully remove every hair at the strap contact points.Knowing that I would be on my knees a lot, I ordered these based on the rave reviews, and I've got to say that these are the best knee pads I have ever used. I used them with shorts, and kept them on for the best part of 2 days, with absolutely no discomfort whatsoever. The straps velcro on easily, are soft, and keep the pads in place. Having a large, single strap that fastens in the calf area is convenient, comfortable, and easy. These pads were on the laminate for hours, and I felt like I was kneeling on an excellent memory foam pillow.I also used these pads to assist with planting a couple of bare-root roses in our garden. They were perfect for kneeling on uneven ground. They wiped clean easily, and made the job easy. Highly recommended!

I've used this type pad for years. They have saved my knees when needing extra cushion. Nice wide band and wear with shorts. The only two negatives.... 1 ) they are hard to clean and can stink from sweat, a pressure washer or car wash is the only way I've found success, they float, household water pressure isn't enough. 2) with shorts... When they get wet with sweat they slide on your knees and have caused blisters... I install hard surface floor covering everyday
