Cibo Italiano
A fascinating insight to Italian food. I shall be trying to cook as many of these dishes as I can - they certainly beat boiled beef and carrots!

Out of my way - I'm going to cook
Well if this DVD doesn't get you wanting to head into the kitchen and cook up something quick and delicious then I despair. It may also have you heading to the travel agents (real or online) to book a ticket to Italy to sample the real thing.Engaging and approachable Antonio expresses a real, simple love of food set of-course in the most evocative settings that always make me green with envy. It has changed my whole approach to cooking italian - light sauces, a bit of chilli and few ingredients. The pot roast chicken with potatoes (though not an Antonio recipe) is now a family favourite - good food doesn't get much better.Settle down in front of the telly with a cold glass of white and enjoy.

Bit disappointing
A very jolly and agreeable man in general, but not a great DVD.Much time spent watching Antonio filling his face and chatting in Italian with the odd recipe thrown in (briefly) for effect. Perhaps it's just me but the recipes aren't terribly inspiring either - little leadweight dumplings sauteed in several kilos of butter just doesn't do it for me and I expect you would be left feeling like you had accidentally swallowed an anvil.Beautiful scenery and probably could be great if the recipes or food were actually described, explained or in any way accessible for anyone living outside of Southern Italy.Sorry, just not my cup of, well, fish, as Antonio would rather bizarrely say.
