Struck thru the Heart
Moonstruck is an adorable graphic novel. Volume 2 continues and even gives us a bit more world-building (which definitely needs to keep happening), a lot more character building (keep it up!), and a cliffhanger...argh!I look forward to the next volume with gret anticipation.Real relationship interaction, cute/fluffy puppies, and antics.

if you're gay or like coffee you need to read this comic
As a lesbian barista, this is the comic I deserve. The art is stunning in every panel and the stories are cute and entertaining. I can't wait to buy vol. 3 when it comes out.

A great second volume!!! Magic and Queerness!!!
*I received this book as an eARC from Image Comics via Edelweiss. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.*I absolutely LOVED the first volume of Moonstruck. An alternative modern world full of magical creatures and so much beautiful diversity and representation! The fun continues in this second volume. The relationships that formed in volume one are still fresh and this volume continues them along naturally with the usual bumps and bonding. There are so many fun, little references in this volume. NewPals is this world's version of NeoPets or Club Penguin. It comes up multiple times throughout the story. The Pleasant Mountain Sisters stories return with a glimpse into a fan fic.The magical creatures focused on in this volume include fairies, dragons, and vampires. The fairy circle in the form of a frat house is excellent! I love the way these classic magical creatures are brought into a modern-ish world. There's a store in the mall called 21 Forever where vampires work! This was another great story! Supernatural things are happening, but the cutesy character stories are at the heart of the book. Those in relationships learn new things about their significant others in this volume.I give this book a 5/5! I'm so happy that this series is continuing. You should definitely go read volume one! I absolutely love this world. Magic and Queerness!!!

Cute, but I just was not vibing with it
When Julie and her friends are invited to a party, the think it’ll be a great place to relax and have fun. Unfortunately for them, it turns out the party involves a fairy circle full of fraternity bros who end up trapping one of them. It’s up to Julie, Selena, and Chet to break their friend out and disengage from the fae politics they’ve been sucked into.I thought the first volume was such a cute story that I was really excited to finally pick up this volume. Unfortunately for me, I didn’t enjoy it anywhere near as much as I thought I would. While I love that we got to see a relationship exit the honeymoon phase and hit a rough patch, I don’t think we’ve see Julie and Selena’s relationship progress enough to really buy that they could overcome this bump in the road. I know it’s a graphic novel, but I think we also needed to see more of a conversation about why Julie hadn’t shared her manuscript with her girlfriend. It came off as throwing a sad little band-aid because they allegedly bonded while lost in the fairy circle toward the end.The more I read this, the more I wished we were following Chet and a few other characters because Julie and Selena’s part of the story just was not pulling me in. I also wish that we saw more of the fairy world before the issue was over because it seemed like we got sucked in and spit out for the fun of it. Plus, I was not a fan of the advice column pages at all. Just when I was getting into the story, it was taking completely out by these pages and they really didn’t add anything to the story. That said, I do think that the other characters were wonderful. I was having a great time every time anyone but Julie and Selena were at the forefront of the story. While I think the fairies were extremely glossed over, I do think they were interesting and hope things make a little more sense on that front if we see them again. As always, the artwork as absolutely stunning. Hopefully, my issues with this volume will dissolve when I start volume three.

I read the first comic in this series and it had some serious flawsbut it had a lot going for it. I was not sure if the series would take off and fly or crash in a awful mass of pink icing sugar and cliche. Reader it has taken the latter course and I shall not be reading another installment.

Not as good as the first book
Storyline not as strong as the first volume, hoping volume 3 will be better.
