Don't get me wrong this fitting worked very well for the application in which it was used. However, I took away one star just because I found another fitting in the same style, made of a really sturdy plastic for about $7. That one worked just as well. If I had to buy one again, I would easily choose the plastic fitting over this one.

I had to split an HVAC line and this did the job perfectly. I like the Y shape vs the Ts I could get at my local box store. I think it will flow smoother.The larger hole was a bit ovular as received, but i squeezed it to round with my hands.

The product itself is nice, Sturdy, well made, should serve its purpose well. The box it was packed in was much larger than needed, no packing material other than 1 thin sheet of paper. Two of the three openings were bent, I was able to straighten them out. Talk to your packaging people, there is no need for this.

This connector is top quality. I used it with flexible insulated ac duct. The hose part of the duct fit on very tight, which is a plus. There are 3 ridges on the connector which help hold the duct on. I used wire ties to finalize the hose connnections, then pulled the insulation over On each duct and used another wire tie. The final result was very clean and awesome. You can’t go wrong with this connector.

The splitter Y is not really 6 inches. But I made it work made of good metal just need the measurement to be right.

If you see these you can pretty much be certain they won't last long. These are amazingly helpful in building an effective air flow management system of any kind. I wish there was more of these in all kinds of sizes from all kinds of retailers, but I've searched high and low all over my intire city of Vancouver BC Canada, and only found one store that had these and they are always sold out. Home depot, Rhona, Canadian Tire, I tried so much I don't know where else to look. I think I bought the last one of these online here too, and I bought the other size that was sold out and got the last one of those else where too.

This 6in wye duct worked perfectly for combining two exhausts into one. The construction is high quality and its very rigid, not flimsy like most ventilation ducting.

Not really much to say about this but it is exactly 100% what I ordered and it is a good quality Y connector. Very well constructed, not cheap or flimsy.

Worked good for what its used for.
