Love Bobbie
Great book, thoroughly enjoyed, I myself having lived through the eighties in the hair band era in my prime, I really enjoyed.Funny, and a great read, finished it in two readings, left wanting more.Wish the girls would reunite and bring back the ex wives of rock show with Athena and crew.Sordid, no holds barred look at the behind the scenes of the rock era in it’s heyday.Definitely recommend.

"Guilty Pleasure?!"/ funny & fun gossip
OK I admit that I wanted to read this book simply because I wanted to hear all the dirt I could on those "rocker" bad boys and Ms. Brown definitely obliges like a rockette groupie slut... Is there anyone she didn't hook up with in Hollywood in one way or another? She comes across as a little full of herself pretty much claiming in so many words "Everyone wants to @#$% me!" or "Everyone is in love with ME!" She may have been the girl that girls all wanted to be and the girl that all guys wanted to be with but where did that get her? While it may have been true that that's how she was seen, she could've toned that part down a bit in the book and it would've been more tasteful. No need to toot your own horn, honey. But anyway, this book is definitely interesting if you were into that cultural phenomenon of the 80's hair/glam metal on the Sunset Strip. She was there and lived to tell about it. Obviously, the appeal of this book, other than her romance with Tommy Lee, and, I guess if you were a fan of Warrant, her marriage to Jani Lane, is all the name-dropping and brushes with celebrities she has managed throughout her days as the queen of the almost-famous B-list Hollywood/ rock and roll groupie has-beens. She comes across as funny though sadly pathetic at times and more than a bit crass all the time. She could use a lesson in class from Tommy Lee's first love, Heather Locklear. I admit her stories are enticing and her memoir entertaining, but in the end, this is still just another celebrity tell-all gossip memoir cooked up to make a few bucks. Again, she could use some class and it's just too bad her experiences gained her wisdom but sadly no taste.

A Great Memoir into the 80’s & 90’s Rock world from a woman’s perspective
The guys of Rock dish it out, but Bobbie Brown gives her side of the story. She was the Warrant Cherry Pie girl, acted on Married w/ Children with Pamela Anderson, married the lead singer of Warrant, hooked up with Tommy Lee for a while. Felt like I was listening to the story of one of my girlfriends. No Metoo stuff here, she’s not saying she’s a victim, just giving her side of things, how it affected her life, the lessons she learned about relationships, Hollywood, the Rocker lifestyle and how not everyone in it ends up in a giant mansion. Great job Bobbie Brown with her lesson that beauty can be power, but it also be a curse. All depends on how you handle it and what kind of support system you have. She also mentions her and Pam’s feud, but imagine if they could come together and collaborate like the women at the end of Chicago. They are both Survivors of Hollywood.

A few interesting tidbits but, not sure it is worth the purchase.
The book has a few interesting tidbits here and there but, the truth is Bobbie Brown as a person is just not all that interesting. We are talking about a woman who made a living doing a little modeling and starring in a few MTV videos.. her only claim to fame is that she had relationships with famous musicians.. hence the title of her book. She does not comes across as very intelligent but, she sure does come across as unlikable. She is also very, very full of herself. She speaks about her beauty all through out the book, she loves to name drop and write about her sexual conquests, every man in LA evidently wanted to sleep with her at one point or the other. It is true she was a very beautiful woman but, beauty in LA is nothing special.. I just do not see that she had much else to offer the world. She admitted to being a drug addict, and she admitted to treating people rudely because in her own words.. "she just didn't give a ****.". How charming.I do not doubt that famous men would swarm her at the clubs and beg to take her home.. my guess is most of these men are no stranger to this behavior, which means she was pretty much just any other killer bod they could use and abuse. The one area I absolutely do not believe is when she writes about all the jobs she missed out on because she just didn't care about her career. She claims Stephen Spielberg wanted to hire her, that Robert DeNiro wanted her for the role in Casino Sharon Stone ended up getting.. that Bay Watch wanted her really badly but, Pamela Anderson threatened to walk if they gave her a role on the show. I am sorry but, I just do not buy any of this... maybe she is telling the truth but, I sort of think a lot of this is just a figment of her overblown ego.The interesting parts of her book are when she is discussing the people she met or had personal relationships with. There is some interesting stuff about her marriage, and her engagement to Tommy Lee.The stuff she writes about Dave Navarro is quite disturbing... the way she describes their first date at his house, is absolutely sickening. As I read I thought.. I am sure she got the heck out of there as soon as she could but, no in the next paragraphs she writes about being so enamored with him. Why.. I have no idea,.. Navarro comes across as a total creep in my opinion. It was obvious through out the book Brown had horrible taste in men but, after she wrote about Navarro, that is when I suspected something wasn't right with her.One very interesting part that really got my attention was towards the end of the book about her ex-husband Jani Lane.. he basically made a confession to her that horrified me and had me speculating quite awhile about who he could have been talking about. She doesn't give us names, and when you read it you will understand why. That is all I will write about that.In summary if you are a fan of 80's Hair Metal, you may find this book interesting. Just go into it realizing that parts about Brown herself are a total snore. It is easy reading and trashy.. a very quick read so, it wouldn't hurt to give it a read.

Not five stars yet, but it is good
It also tells plenty of stories about Jani Lane, from Warrant, which is pretty interesting. Highly recommended! Really enjoyed it.

Entertaining and full of the private parts of 90s rock stars
This book made me feel a little sad. Bobbie managed to blow some great opportunities. Her rivalry with Pamela Anderson is discussed in some detail as is her marriage to Jani Lane and her relationship with Tommy Lee. Some rocker boys are indeed dirty, but some are lovely, like with any group of people. It’s an entertaining story for the most part but some of it is hard to read and feels like you’re just watching her make the same mistakes over and over again and watching her take her experiences out on innocent chumps. Her solid Mom is a redeeming feature of the story and Bobbie concludes that family and friends are most important to her.

Good read!
Really good read, kept me interested and I liked her brutal honesty throughout the book. She talks a lot about famous actors and rockstars and shares a few shocking stories. As an avid rock fan, it was interesting to me when she talked about certain bands and she paints a good picture of the backstage groupie lifestyle. Good read, just not for the easily offended - loads of sex, drugs and rock n roll!!

Brilliant read, captivating, couldn't put down - rock and roll history that's real !
An honest, funny and sometimes sad account of a time in rock and roll history which I lived through in posters, magazines, MTV and dancing at Rock City, on the other side of the world - wondering what was actually going on in the life of all my rock star heroes. It is so well written and so interesting. Couldn't put it down. I hope Bobbie writes another.
