A bargain beauty but beware of short battery life
I bought this watch for an elderly lady who wanted a very simple, easy-to-read interface, and now I'm thinking of buying one for myself. I was astonished at the beautiful quality of this watch at a fraction of the price you'd pay in a jewellers on the main street. Elegant, clear design with a beautiful comfortable leather strap. People who have seen the watch have guessed it cost over 30 pounds! And it does look like it, really impressive watch for this price. It came in simple packaging with a tiny plastic stopper around the knob to spare the battery until first use. Overall a really lovely watch for anyone. One point though, if you have a large wrist it might not suit; the lady I bought it for has slightly thicker wrists and the strap is on the second last hole closure. She has plenty comfort and room but anyone with a thicker wrist might need to add another hole, the strap isn't very long.Edit: 6th Dec. 2019, the watch is still working well.Edit #2: 13th Feb. 2021, watch still working fine! :)Edit #3: 11th June 2021, watch stopped working today. Probably the battery, so I'm revising my rating to take a star off for short battery life; I expected it to last a lot longer than 2 years. Replacing the watch would be cheaper than buying a replacement battery, but who wants to throw out a working watch? A bit disappointed now. :(

Disappointing watch
I bought this watch because i badly needed a new one - My old watch needed a new battery, but I was unable to open it to replace the battery - I expected this cheap watch to last at least a month or two, until I could purchase a better one.Unfortunately when I received my new watch, the prone that goes through the hole into the buckle (keeps the strap on the wrist) wasn't long enough to keep in the hole. Therefore the watch kept falling off my wrist. By day two I couldn't find the watch.Waste of my money!

Zero stars!! Save your money.
Do not buy! It’s cheap and shoddily made. I bought this at the end of November as a present for my hard of sight mother in law, thinking that the face would be big. It’s not.My mistake. Rather than send it back, I thought I’d keep it for when my watch battery died. That day has come and I started to use the watch today by pulling out the plastic around the dial. Most of the dial pulled out when I tried to set the time which made me somewhat suspicious about how long it would work for. It worked for about 10 minutes then it gave up. Complete waste of money. I have had a different ravel watch that was much better quality. This is poor quality, cheap rubbish. Save your money. I don’t expect much from a cheap watch but I do expect it to work for longer than 10 minutes.

Amazing watch for the price
I bought this just for going on a cruise to maintain ship time when in ports. I don't normally wear a watch. I got a waterproof one as we had a few boat excursions booked. I've got to be honest I wasn't hoping for much for £5 but was really impressed. I really like the design, it's simple and easy to read the time, the strap is soft and fitted well and it really is waterproof. The very centre got moisture in a few days that were really hot but it wasn't from going in the water and it soon cleared up, no water got in after swimming with the watch on and I will now continue to wear it at home as I actually enjoyed wearing it, I always think I have my phone to tell me the time but I'm one of those people who frequently misplaces my phone so now it doesn't matter if I do :)

Easy to read.
I've only had this watch about a month, but so far it's proved accurate & comfortable to wear. The large numbers are an added bonus if your eyesight is poor. The only real fault is the metal clasp through which you thread the remarkably stiff strap. On my first attempt this simply 'pinged' off. Having managed to find it again I put it back on and squeezed it tightly. I then took the ridiculously stiff wrist-strap and worked it patiently back & forth, till it became more supple & bendy. In fear & trembling I re-threaded the strap through the clasp, and it all held together fine. Had it failed after that, it would have gone right back to seller. However, it now sits very comfortably on my wrist, so despite my initial annoyance, I'm giving it a generous 4 stars, as I'm now quite happy with it.

Easy to read watch for eyes struggling with close up vision
I was looking for a watch with a larger, clearer face than my usual watch as I’ve started to find my watch hard to read on days when I’m wearing my contact lenses (for distance) and don’t have my reading glasses to hand. This watch is excellent for that purpose. The numbers are large, the black on white is clear, and there’s no confusion about which hand is which at a glance because the second hand is red (the minute and hour hands are black). The price (less than £15) is very reasonable. The strap is rather rigid, which may or may not soften with use, hence 4 rather than 5 stars. But overall I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for a watch with a clear, easy to read face.

Easy to see/read & looks smart
So far, I love this watch! The watch face is very easy to read/see, and it is really comfortable to wear. The strap is just the right width, quite narrow but very smart and just the right match for the watch face. I put it on straight away and it’s going good for now. Im pleased with this purchase and everything was excellent. Recommended. I would buy another one in a different colour, if available.
