Great for local comms (~10miles)
As expected This item was/is good for local comms on UHF. VHF is not at good. But it works

Wonderful seller, and antenna
I bought this antenna with hopes it would look better and get the job done. Upon several weeks of using this antenna, I can honestly say that it does wonderfully using local repeaters 30+ miles away with either a 5 watt Motorola xts2500, or my base/mobile with 20 watts of power. Would highly recommend this antenna to anyone that does not like the longer antenna look on their vehicle. Currently using it on gmrs bands (462-467MHz).

Magnetically Challenged
I tried this on my Ram pickup with a Compactenna (2 m/&440) 7.5 inch antenna. Unfortunately, the magnet is not strong enough to hold that antenna up when I hit 65 mph. Okay at any speed less than 65 mph, but at highway speeds, the mag mount failed to keep the antenna in the vertical position. Besides that problem, everything else is okay with the mount.

Il magnete non è molto potente, ma sufficiente per tenere ferma l’antenna; purtroppo il feltro che dovrebbe proteggere la carrozzeria lascia scoperto il lamierino dell’involucro esterno, di metallo, con il rischio di graffiare la carrozzeria; peccato, reso.

Much better than hoped for

Schwach
Die Antenne ist ordentlich verarbeitet, das Kabel angenehm lang. Empfangs- und sendeseitig liefert sie nur schwache Leistungen ab. Ich habe die Antenne länger für APRS aus dem Auto heraus getestet und so gut wie nichts empfangen oder einen Digipeater erreicht. So werde ich wieder meine "richtige" Magnetfußantenne verwenden.Bei Gelegenheit messe ich beide Antennen mal aus. Aber ich kann die Antenne schon jetzt kaum empfehlen.
