Bright
If you need super bright white light these are your bulbs. I purchased the wrong one and I am not paying to return it. I needed warm white and these are blinding in the space where the floor lamp is. Great value and arrived quickly though.

Perfect Fit
Last time the bulb was replaced was in 2006, so I was worried they might not make this kind of bulb anymore. This was a perfect fit with easy installation. Light takes a minute to warm up, but after that it’s a bright light. Happy with this purchase.

Okay bulb but too bright & white for use - it will wake you up
The bulbs arrived on time, not broken and they work.Unfortunately "daylight" in CFL does not mean what it meant for incandescent bulbs. These bulbs a very harsh, very bright, very white fluorescent-looking bright-snow-white color that will make it hard to relax near them. Not like yellow-sunlight or the slightly less yellow (but not snow white) of "daylight" in incandescentThis will totally waike you up. Maybe good for eating breakfast under, but not good for relaxing over dinner or putting in a bedroom.Like coffee these lights will WAKE YOU UP. If you use them after 5pm they will make it harder to sleep.Best bet is to read online about Kelvin Temperature. For light that is a more relaxing, yellow tone, you want 2700k, and less the 3000kThe Kelvin rating of these bulbs (at this time at least) is 5,000 - very high. Unfortunately the Amazon Seller does not provide the Kelvin rating of these and they are not on the packaging, either. The packaging these bulbs come in does not list the Kelvin rating either. The only way to find the Kelvin rating is the tiny print on the base of the builb that you can only see after opening the package.Sad to see lack of transparency here, especially by the manufacturer. While maybe I should know about Kelvin Temperature, our society and technology is changing and the Kelvin rating is new to most people. The vendor and manufacturer should explain it - at least to openly list the rating as other Amazon vendors do.So I won't totally fault them for sending me a color I didn't want but points off for not listing the Kelvin rating and saying what it means.

Does the trick
The bulb came packaged in a box but wasn't highly protected. That said, the bulb was protected enough to arrive in working order. Overall, the lighting quality is low - think kitchen vent light level. While I may not love it, the bulb does the trick. It is hard to find this type of bulb so I can't really be choosy.

Comparable to the ones previously purchased at Home Depot
These were purchased for an overhead light. Replacement bulbs had previously been purchased at Home Depot. These worked just as well as those.
