Othello Pressman 1990 Version

I purchased a new Othello and was astounded by the low quality, the pieces were falling apart and the board was wobbly, I simply returned it for a refund...THEN I PURCHASED THIS ONE, 1990 VERSION - the Pressman quality is superb and perfect.

Ah, this is the same style set I played on in the early 2000s. This is a great game and this set is very nice. My only gripe is that the board does not have sunk slots for the pieces like the other newer sets. Could not play this version on a boat, because the pieces would fly everywhere. Has the neat square look. Othello is big on strategy, no luck. However, the game isn't fun until you find out a few strategies. This site has great info on tactics of the game [...] .If you don't learn some strategies, it becomes a mystery as to how and why the other player/you won. Every year Japan has many Othello tournaments, so I know that the game is complex and can be interesting. Have fun!

Fácil de aprender. Un juego perfecto para quienes les gustan los juegos de pensar. Con el tiempo es más complejo a medida que los jugadores se familiarizan con la estrategia. Ideal para pasar un rato muy entretenido. Muy recomendado.

Good version, but still cheaply made- no little flip-over lid to cover the peices, the way I remember they had in the original version. My 14 yo son and I enjoy playing.

Nice item, My son loves it. Not quite as good as new.

I bought this as a gift and it arrived a little beat up. The bottom of the game box is damaged. I thought that it should be in better condition for the price.

I specifically bought this edition because it was supposed to be the one I grew up with. It's not the 1990 edition, it's the 1997 edition (even says so in the game instructions(. The box is different, the pieces are different, the board is different. This is blatantly false advertising and I'm very disappointed.
