Andy Fairweather Low & The Low Riders Live From The New Theatre, Cardiff Triple Disc 2 x CD & 1x DVD.

This disc set is brilliant. Everything about it is good. The service was amazing, the package arrived less than 24 hours after ordering. If you only think of AFL as possibly an Amen Corner nostalgia act, then you are in for a huge surprise! This group of musicians are incredible. The number of styles of music they play, and play darn well, is out of this world. They have an amazing rapport with each other and the audience! I cannot recommend this set of discs enough. If you have never seen these men in real life, then move heaven and earth to do so, travel any distance to see them, you will not be disappointed. In fact attending a live concert should be available on the NHS! No matter what bad things are going on in your life and the rest of the world, you will leave their concert with a broad smile on your face, and feel very good. These discs are a realistic representation of their live performance. Buy this, and go and see them!

A great live performance by this underrated guy, on double cd and a dvd, both capturing the full concert. For the first half Andy is backed by the Low Riders: bass guitar, drums and sax. For the second half they add keyboards, a second sax and a trumpet. The variety of songs is amazing. In the bonus interview on the dvd, Andy rates himself as a good, but not great, guitarist. Sorry, but on the basis of this performance, and given that he has regularly toured with Eric Clapton and Roger Waters, he is definitely one of the greats. One to watch and listen to many times!

Everyone who likes good live music should own this. AFL and band are on brilliant form.

Saw AFL live a few weeks ago. Remember him fronting Amen Corner in the late 60's/70's and saw him when he worked with Roger Waters in the early 2000's. Came across a gig he was doing in Basingstoke so went out of curiosity. The best £20 i have spent in a long time. An exceptional museum with a fantastic repertoire covering the decades. The cd reflects the concert.No gimmicks just damn good music all round. Worth getting your hands on.

Bought after hearing tracks on Paul Jones Blues show. Unfortunately the track I wanted isn't on here! Otherwise good

Andy Fairweather Low - brilliant show as always. This really is a good-value 2 CD & DVD set (at £10). The first set are of all the old favourites held together with Andy's usual banter. The second part of the concert are songs I am less familiar with and a bit more jazzy than the first but very good all the same. The CD's are of the whole concert including the chat. A great box set that did not disappoint. I like it as it doesn't omit too much that you would get from seeing him live. This was £19 originally but for a tenner you really can't go wrong.

As a fan of AFL since Amen Corner he can do no wrong, his years as a top session musician can be a shock for those who only think of him a "Teeny Bopper Star" an accomplished guitarist working for the likes of Eric Clapton and Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) highlights his ability.I am so pleased he has started to tour and record again and I have enjoyed his very relaxed concert style.This CD / DVD set shows why AFL and The Low Riders can fill theatres with their mix of old hits and cheery music, an amazing presentation pack showing that Andy still has it.FANTASTIC1

Knew it would be good but turned out to be the best album I have bought for a long time and the Dvd is as close as you can get to one of his gigs at the moment.

Grandioses Konzert auf 2 CD und 1 DVD . Die DVD hat eine Lange von 193 Min! Auf den beiden Cd's ist ebenfalls das ganze Konzert enthalten! Erstklassige Musiker begleiten hier den Ausnahmemusiker Andy Fairweather Low. Das Konzert zeigt in 2 Hälften alles was dieser Mann kann. Erster Teil mit kleiner Besetzung Gitarre, Bass, Sax und Klarinette, Drums mit Stücken aus den 70er Jahren und Stücken der neueren CD's. Zweiter Teil pure Soul Musik und den Amen Corner Hits. Die Band wurde durch 3 Bläser erweitert und die Post ging richtig ab!! Meiner Meinung nach sind hier 5 Sterne viel zu wenig!!

Andy Fairweather Low è uno dei grandi della chitarra inglese, dopo averlo visto al fianco dell'amico Eric Clapton nelle tourneè degli ultimi anni (vedi Crossroads 2013, Baloise session, 2013, Royal Albert Hall 2014- 2015)ma già presente come seconda chitarra nell'unplugged del 1992, finalmente dopo il nuovo cd del 2013 Zone - o - Tone ci regala questo bellissimo live registrato nel teatro della sua città natale Cardiff nel Galles dove passa in rassegna standard del blues e del rock nonché del suo primo gruppo gli Amen Corner ed i più recenti Low Riders.Piacevole anche la visione del DVD che ci regala l'intero concerto in una bella location come il teatro di Cardiff.Vivamente consigliato.
