Okay, so I bought 2 of these talking hamsters. One danced around when it talked, the other just popped up when it talked. If I hadn't know that they danced when they talked I would have been just as happy with the non-dancing hamster. I actually ordered a 3 hamster, it also danced. They all were a hit. My husband said, he should have ordered one for me since I was having so much fun, testing them out. lol "Kids" of all ages will enjoy them.

I gave 4 stars for softness due to the moving parts Being hard. I bought this after seeing this on Facebook. I got it primary to have fun with my dogs, knowing how they don't like mechanical toys, it didn't disappoint. (No I didn't give it to them), but I leave it running on the counter, they bark, it repeats back, and then we have five minutes of the dogs arguing with it, total fun. This hamster is amazing fun to leave laying around. Get one if you like having laughs around the house.

This little guy is really soft but there is no volume control and it's pretty loud. Also, it didn't come in a box, just put directly in a zip lock bag. I'll repackage it and it will be fine, I don't think a 4 year old will mind not having a box. The sound it makes is so cute and I'm sure my nephew will love it for Christmas.

I LOVE this talking hamster! At 57 years old I consider myself still a big kid so I love to surprise the stuffy grown up friends and relatives in my life by staging the Hamster innocently on a table or kitchen counter where it can pick up all their boring self reflections and humdrum tales of their day and then throw their dribble back at them in its cute squeaky hamster voice! I highly recommend this cuddly friend to one and all!

My husband and I had fun "playing" with this cute little hamster--my cats were enthralled with it as well. It's a Christmas gift for my granddaughter and hasn't yet been given. It's sometimes difficult to understand voices that are lower pitched--ie man's voice. My voice comes through loud and clear!My question is: Can the volume be adjusted?
