There is something about a mortar and pestle that bring out the flavor of fresh garlic and herbs. My only problem is I always had to add extra and basically waste when I was using my old stone set. Not with this set. The bamboo set does the same exact thing as the stone set except I can take a rubber spatula into the bamboo and get all the extra stuff out now. And I can use soap when washing it! Something about not being able to wash something that is gross to me, seasoning or not.

That's what I got it for and it's sturdy. I wish the pestle had a more rounded corner but I can fix that. Not sure why this review wants me to rate it on "Easy to swallow" but I will say that I think it would be pretty hard to swallow this Bamboo Mortar and Pestle. lol

Great I love it but you might want to sand the inside before use.

Este mortero no sólo es bonito a la vista, sino que es muy robusto, de buena madera, sólo hubiese deseado que el aditamento de madera que se utiliza para machacar los ajos fuera un poco más grande de diámetro, pero excepto este detalle, lo recomiendo 100 %

I wanted a deep vessel. But the pestle is really too short to be effective. Can barely hold it and use to mash as it’s really to short.

I use this beauty for crushing pet meds in a little warm water so that I can easily mix the meds with the pet food and deceive my spoiled Cornish Rex. The “crusher” is very comfortable to hold.There was a very narrow, almost indiscernible, split that I had no trouble fixing with transparent Gorilla Glue.Nevertheless, I’m glad I bought it.

I just bought the bamboo pestle and the inside of it is rough. I actually got a splinter when running my finger inside the bowl. You need to sand the inside of the bowl to get it smooth. This defeats the purpose of me paying money for this product. If you choose to buy the product have some sandpaper in hand.

This is not just a good looking mortar, but also sturdy and easy to use It does its job beautifully 👌
