Excellent cheap grips
Works exactly as intended. Absorbs recoil well, makes for less perceived recoil. I put these on a 4 inch Ruger Redhawk (.44 Mag) and it is a VAST improvement over the Hogue grips it came with. It makes shooting medium power mag loads feel about the same as soft loads. My hands are midsize for man hands, I wear XLarge latex gloves and Large leather gloves (Home Depot brand) if that helps at all. My hands fit nicely on these grips. It places my trigger finger in a more optimal position than the stock Hogues did. (It felt like my finger stuck to far through with the Hogues)Now, they are THIRTY DOLLAR grips, so no, the fit and finish is not perfect. The edges of the grips dont touch all the way around perfectly, but I really haven't had an issue with it. I have read some of the really negative reviews on here, they seem like they are asking a lot for some cheap grips. The one gripe I do have is that the screw really is too long. Even just tightening it slightly made it bulge out the opposite grip. I fixed this by simply grabbing the screw with a pair of vise grips and taking an angle grinder with a flap disk to the threaded end of the screw, took off a little over an 1/8th of an inch. No big deal, and it took about five minutes. Now I can tighten the crap out of it and no bulge. For what they are, cheap, soft rubber grips, they are great. If you want some fancy grips, you are going to have to spend more money.

Comfortable grip
Easy to assemble, nice tight fit. Very comfortable and provided great stability on a 44 Mag.

Fits like a glove.
I give it 4 stars. Almost perfect. My new ruger Blackhawk 44 came with the Hogue Bantman grips. The only issue with those is I hate the finger groves. They just never work for me since do not line up with my fingers right. I spent hours on forums and researching grips from wood ( aesthetically nicer but not as practical on this) to hogue, to pachmayr, to uncle mikes and many more. Came to the conclusion that the Blackhawk is for some reason tougher to find grips for. Hogue has the most but which most are not in stock anyway and 98 percent wood. I figure give these a try considering people had said they were way bigger. I took a chance and suprised that although not as asthetically pleasing they do offer me the best grip compared to the hogue. These grips do u like the hogue offer the covered back strap. This grip is a solid rubber type material as well. My hands aren’t big but average medium to large. I love the non finger grooves since my had does now fell more wrapped around the grip. My index finger rises higher and deep so feel more stable. As u can see fit like a glove. They are bigger compared to the hogue. This isn’t my carry piece so comfort and stability is all I cared about. Add few more ounces as well to the weight. I tried the houge again to compare and to me this new grip just feels right.

Plus the fit was perfect, no gaps between the halves of the grips
The original grips on my Ruger Redhawk in .45 Colt were extremely uncomfortable to shoot with using the original loading of 250-255 grain bullets. The back strap of the handle would batter my hand and I had to re-grip the revolver after each shot as it would slip around uncontrollably in my hand. After going through a box of 50 rounds my hand would ache and I would be flinching on the last half of the box. The only solution I had was to use reduced loads using 200-225 grain bullets and that only partially solved the problem. I was ready to sell it when I decided to try some new grips. Chose this over the Hogues as they covered the back strap. The difference was as between night and day. After the first six rounds I had to check the box to confirm I was using 250 grain bullet loads. Never had to re-grip the gun after shots and the recoil was more of a gentle push. Plus the fit was perfect, no gaps between the halves of the grips. Highly recommended.

Much better than wood grips!
Pachmayr products rock! The superb ergonomics on these grips (or “stocks,” if you prefer) make the Ruger Redhawk soooooo much more comfortable to shoot and easy to shoot accurately than the factory wood grips do! Thanks so much, Pachmayr!

Okay grips
They are fine. They don’t fit together all the way and are uneven. Shouldn’t affect anything just annoying to look at.

Good product.
Like these grips a lot, great fit on my Ruger Redhawk. I did have to take off a few threads from the screw, a bit to long, creates a bulge on the right side if you don't. not a big deal, better than too short!

As Good As It Gets for a Pachmayr
As previously reported, there will be a small gap all around where the grips meet but this is not a deal killer. This grip really shines in recoil absorption and overall hand fit. Because it covers the back strap, it adds a little more to the trigger reach if you have small to med sized hands. Two areas that needed work:1. Some rubber melted into the female threads on the left grip. Because of this, it was difficult to feel the screw engaging when starting to turn the screw. I delicately removed this excess rubber material using my long nose tweezers.2. The right grip does not press snugly over the hammer pin. I had to build this area up inside the right grip using shoe goo until there was enough material to keep the hammer pin from moving out in recoil. This took 3 layers and 3 nights of waiting patiently for the glue to dry.One oddity. The female thread in the left grip does not go all the way through. If you overtighten the grips, you may pop out the female nut. When I snug up the screw until things line up (not overly tight), it causes a small bulge on the left grip. Pachmayr should just allow the screw to go all the way through or give you a slightly shorter screw. The reason I give this is 4 is because there are no other rubber grips out there for the RH. If you don't like the way the Hogue feels, then this is all you have or the Decelerator version. All in all it does take some tweaking, but the end result is awesome.
