I have an eGo (electric) chainsaw. I've used it a few times, to cut limbs and small trees around my home. I don't think I've used it enough to dull the chain, but I am guessing I must have. So I did some research on the net. And decided to purchase this bar and chain from Oregon brand to replace my current ones. Not sure I needed a new bar, but for this price, I went ahead and did so. While I waited the two days to receive my order, I cleaned out a bunch of grime, wood chips and likely dirt from my chainsaw. OK - easy install, easy replacement. And I'll tell you what. This kit is AWESOME. Honestly, this outperforms the original chain the saw came with. I have read that the eGo saws come with eGo branded chains/bars from Oregon, but there is no similarity in the way the two cut wood. It took minutes to cut up a large (15" diameter) branch that came down during a recent storm here. I mean minutes. And easy. The less force you put on the saw, the faster the saw cuts through the limb.. Crazy good. Love it. Will buy it again when I need to.

To order the correct chain loop, you must know 3 things. Pitch,gauge, drive link count. Bar lenght isn't one of them, but is in the drive link count. The Milwaukee M18 chainsaw is a great battery powered saw and you can use the same battery in the Milwaukee M18 drill to build a deer stand! Most homeowner saws use a 3/8" lo pro pitch chain. Lo pro means the cutters are smaller so a lower horsepower engine can pull them through the tree limb. The Milwaukee M18 chainsaw comes from the factory with a 16" bar, 3/8" lo pro pitch, 0.043" gauge chain, with 56 drive links. This works well, but some users have noticed problems with the chain coming off the bar. The answer is to keep the chain properly tensioned and to cut at a 90 degree angle to the limb. This bar and chain loop allows you to upgrade to a 0.050" gauge chain with slightly larger cutters! Chainsaws are like trains in that they come in different gauges. A narrow gauge logging train track being the best example. Hope that helps.
