Professional Glossing Mist, 5 Ounce

A very nice gloss not heavy & smells great.

I am really liking this product. For me personally it is a no-go as I have fine thin hair but for my daughters, it is fantastic. I have two 4 year olds with thick curly hair (they definitely got their father's hair). They both struggle with tangles and keeping their hair tamed but one in particular has a lot of frizzy issues. I have tried a ton of different hair products such as leave-in conditioners, spray-in conditioners, creams and a plethora of different oils. Almost nothing can tame my daughter's frizzy mane. Being preschoolers and having such big thick hair we usually only wash it twice a week and sometimes just once. After a few days, It generally gets harder and harder to keep looking good. This product has actually worked on her frizzy hair. It tames it and makes it lay down and look shiny. This is a monumental thing as it works for most of the day. I do have to put a little refresher in sometimes but generally 3 or 4 and sometimes 5 sprays are good. If you do more than that it does start to look a little greasy, but eventually gets absorbed into the hair. I don't love the scent but luckily it doesn't stick around for a long time. It's not horrible but just not my favorite. This was a great thing to find and has worked better than anything else I've used. I will definitely keep this in the hair arsenal.

Nice scent but it did not last long. After I blew dry my hair, and put hair spray on, I gave this shine 3 pumps , and held it a couple of feet away. It gave my hair a shine, but my hair looked like it was separating, and oily after. I have other spray shines, and my hair never looked oily after useing them. My hair has a blonde weave with a natural slight wave, that I use a big brush to get he curl out, and My hair is thick, and in very good condition. Maybe for other peoples hair this would be great!

Update: I sprayed some of this, avoiding my roots, on my damp hair last night, brushed out my hair a few times, and then just let it dry naturally. After sleeping on it all night, my hair this morning looks smooth and soft and really shiny! I’m happier with this spray than I was at first—the secret, for me with my baby fine hair—is to spray it on damp hair. I also used the HairRx shampoo. I’m increasing my stars from 3 to 4. Love HairRX. ——— I’m new to HairRx and I love their shampoos—I have the strengthening and revitalizing shampoos and they work well with my super baby fine hair. This HairRx glossing mist is made with the same great ingredients but of course oil is one of them so according to your hair type, you’ll have to use it judiciously. I first pumped out quite a few sprays on one side of my dry hair to compare both sides and my sprayed hair side looked greasy and flat. At first I thought I’d just give away the glossing mist, but later I noticed that my hair absorbed the oily look and it wasn’t so bad. So I sprayed less on the other side and didn’t get too close to my roots—that side didn’t look as oily. About an hour later, I really couldn’t tell there was any oil in my hair; however, it does flatten out my hair so I’d likely want to use this when my hair is damp and before I blow dry it, or right before I use a heat styling tool. It won’t take much of this for my hair and I’d have to be really careful about the amount, since I do have super baby fine hair. I’d also not use this during the warm months but instead only during the cold months when the dry air inside and outside dries out my hair. The scent is citrusy and something sweet (maybe the almond oil); a little strong at first but it dissipates enough over time. My hair wasn’t super shiny where I was really noticing it, however, I think if I were to blow dry it after applying or heat style or use my flat iron it would bring out the shine a lot more. It won’t be my favorite most used item in my hair arsenal but I will use it from time to time when I want my hair sleek and super straight. If you have thicker or frizzy and/or dry, or maybe long hair (mine is just to my shoulders), this may work well for you. If you have shorter baby fine hair as I do, then maybe not so much.

I like the way this smells. To me it just smells herbal and perhaps even a bit feminine but closer to unisex. It is scented with notes of Rosemary lavender lemon citrus and a strong note of lemony Rose. It does exactly what it says it will it delivers a high gloss shine with minimal effort. With my extremely long hair I use for sprays down the length of my hair avoiding the crown of my head, (which is already fairly shiny and a bit more oily.) The pump dispenser works well and delivers a very fine, even mist. Used judiciously it adds shine and smoothing but does not make my hair look oily.

My hair is curly and tends to frizz. I used this on my hair damp and dry. I didn't notice any shine. None! I used a lot more than it called for, too. Can't recommend.

While I do like the shine from this product, that doesn't balance out with the aspects I don't like. Namely, the scent is too strong and make me smell like I'm doused in body spray for half an hour after I've applied it. While it adds a bit of shine, it also adds weight, and, ultimately, dullness, since the product seems to attract dust out of the environment. Consequently, my hair looks dull and lank by the end of the day, and I need to shampoo it before I use the product again. In normal life, I shampoo about once a week or so, even if I use product several times; and dirty hair actually typically looks better. With this, I need to shampoo daily, or my hair looks dull and flat. If you shampoo daily and you like heavy scent, this might be a good match for you, but it doesn't suit me. I have a short bob with bangs and hideous texturing that brings out my gray and makes my hair look duller. Honestly, I loathe my haircut, so I've been searching for something to counteract the dulling effect of the dumb texturizing. This did not hit the spot, sadly. Aside from the defects of my current haircut, my hair is generally healthy and reasonably shiny, but shining products tend to mask the gray in my dark hair. It is medium thickness, with a bit of wave, and medium-textured.

I usually love the products this brand puts out. I am not too thrilled with this specific product. First, there's the scent. To me, it's too strong and smells almost like my husband's deodorant. It doesn't linger for very long, but the shine it gives doesn't last long either. I loved the look when I applied it. Three hours later my hair was dull again and I had to re-apply. I really like the concept of this product and I think it has some potential but they really need to rework the formula.
