Which I recommend.

Read it carefully from cover to cove, do the exercises and you can learn how to greatly improve you recorded sound for film production. I have read it twice and referred to several sections. I made a great choice with this book.

I pick up this book every now and then, it's a great read. He's got a good writing style, lots of practical tips. It really expanded my knowledge of audio. Would highly recommend it.

Rose's book is fantastic. Definitely a must have along with Harbinger's Directing and Chandler's Cut by Cut. My sole complaint here is that the physical condition of the book is not as good. Borders are dirty, the left lower corner is bent. This book looks as if it was used already. I paid full price for a NEW book and apparently received a second hand one.

For anyone buying this book, please be aware that the website that hosts the audio files that are referenced in the book are no longer active! It's still a great resource, but the publishers need to rectify this.

I keep going back to this book again and again. Lots of great stuff and very helpful. I teach filmmaking and this is a book I recommend to everyone who takes my class.

I have had the eBook version of this amazing book for a while but wanted to support Jay. One of those technical books that are not so dry and well-articulated.
