Insanely hot signal
I used this as a hihat mic with a Zoom R24 digital multitrack. Even with the input at *zero*, the signal on this thing was ridiculously hot. The resultant recordings had a very ugly, harsh sound to them (despite the fact I made sure there was no clipping.) I recorded the same hats with a Behringer C-2 and the result was infinitely better.Maybe it was my equipment. Maybe I had a lemon. I don't know. All I know is that this is something I would only use if I had absolutely nothing else available (if I still owned it and hadn't sold it for a few bucks at a music store.)

Would recommend after cap mod
I bought a pair of these guys with the full intention of modding them. And I did so. I never even plugged them up unmod'd but I've heard several versions of this same mic before. But I did an affordable $8 cap mod on each mic. Only had to desolder/resolder 6 points on each mic. An easy job with little soldering experience. After the mod these are really nice sounding mics. Especially for $35 + 8 per mic. The high end is tamed and not as gritty as similar priced mics. They sound nice and full bodied too. I think you'd be hard pressed to find another mic that sounds this good (with the mod) for under $100-$200 a piece. Would recommend them for sure.Ive only used these on drum overheads so far. But I imagine they would be a great all around affordable condenser for the studio or live.

Nady makes the grade
I am a drummer with a home studio. I was looking for a small condensor to place over my ride cymbal to gain a tad more control aside from the stereo over heads I am already using. This mic was my choice because of my past experience with Nady products and the price. It has a full clear sound with very high gain. What I actually ended up doing was using it as my Hi Hat mic and using the AKG i had over the ride with fantastic results. The only thing I can say is the mic does not have a low end roll off switch which would make it it top notch, but that was easy to remedy by just using a parametric EQ to gain the results I wanted. 2 thumbs up for the Nady condensor. Just the price alone makes it worth buying

For a $40 microphone I'm very impressed, it dose pickup back ground noise a bit more then I would like; so you have to be in a very quite place. You can always use a GATE so it's not too much of a big deal. For the price you really can't beat it.

Nice, sturdy microphone with too much self noise
I could not believe how noisy this microphone was when hooked up to my audio interface. I tried everything I could think of to rule out my mixer and recording devices, and I was right, it was the mic. It sucks.

Killer mics for overheads
I was looking for some new overhead drum mics and saw people comparing these to the MXL 603s. It's the same mic with a different paint job and grill. Circuit is the same, capsule is the same with a thinner 3 mil diaphragm. These things kick butt. Clear, handle high SPLs with ease. I now have 3 of these for the same price as the MXL....

Cool mic
Pretty decent mic for capturing guitar sounds live in home studio. I am using the Focusrite audio interface and this mic works fine for me. Good handy device for a reasonable low price.

Nady Condenser Mic
Smooth transition. Ordered and received without a problem. Used the mic w/a Tascam Dp02 and recorded percussions. It worked. Good for the price.
