Makroyl Unisex Hooded Cloak Long Velvet Cape For Halloween Christmas Cosplay Costume

I bought this cloak to complete an outfit for a Halloween Ball. I chose this one because it wasn’t the cheapest, but didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg.It’s a little lighter coloured than I expected. The material is very thin and if you hold it up, you can see through it. It’s a large size, but at size 14-16, I have to pull it to close it at the front. I’d say the large is suitable up to about size 12, 14 at a push. The ribbon ties are too thin. If somebody caught the cape and pulled, the thin ribbon could hurt the neck. There’s no lining, not even in the hood. There are also no seams. The raw edges have been zig zag stitched instead of folded under and sewn. It was about 7 inches too long, but I wanted to hem it anyway. The bottom of the cloak also had zig zag stitching to the raw edge rather than hemming.Fortunately, if you can sew, it’s easy to fix. However, I had to spend an additional £35 on lining material and 4cm ribbon to replace the 1cm supplied. I also bought some marabou feather trim, which brings the total spent to around £80. Had I known it’d need so much, I’d have just spent £80 on a more expensive cape.I’m still in the process of fixing it up, so I can’t include a picture. If it’s possible to add one later, I will.

Really nice colour, hood is nice and big and being 5'9 the length is perfect for me just touches the floor. It's thin but it makes it float behind really nicely. Perfect for my halloween costume. 🎃

I didnt like the colour cause i thought itd be darker but other than that very good quality for money

Lovely cloak.. perfect for being Red Riding Hood this year for Halloween. The outside is great, the lining looks a little cheap but for the price it's amazing. Be careful with the length is all I'll say. I'm 5'6 and it absolutely swamped me and drags quite a lot on the floor - nothing a litle DIY tailoring can't fix. Overall very happy with this product!

I used this cloak as part of my costume at the Venetian carnival. It is pretty good and pretty. But it was a bit too long (I'm 1.73 tall) so I had to be carefull not to step on it sometimes. All in all I liked it.
