Did tons of comparing and made the PERFECT choice!
I wasn't a cat person until a sweet one found me :) I spent 2 weeks comparing prices and function ability. I decided to get this one. I compared this one to many at petco, petsmart, Walmart and MANY others. This one has the little cubby house that's off ground level which was a feature I wanted. The ones I compared it with were DOUBLE or more and didn't have that feature. Only the platforms. It's sturdy and stable! Our new addition loves it! HIGHLY recommend this!

Hammock is the favorite, great with decor, could be sturdier
Great product overall. Looks good in my medium sized town home and the kitty loves it. He was all over it before I could even get it built! I was surprised at how soft the gray pieces are. I knocked off a star because it could be sturdier. I put a dumbell in the bottom "house" until the kitten calms down a bit with it because it wobbled a bit with his rough housing. My kitten is about 7 months old and it's the perfect size for him. I'm not concerned about it working for him as he ages as it appears to be able to hold a full grown cat too. The ball is holding up and I stuck a feather toy in it between the tunnel and the top layer (it's snug there) to help even up the attention on the ball. So far the hammock is his favorite!! I spent probably four to five hours researching cat trees and finally landed on this one (a lot of time I know). It's the best out there in this price category if your looking for variety, good height, ability to fit in smaller home, and with a home/condo/hideout.

Great Value Cat Tree, not getting rid of it
I wanted a multi-tiered cat tree with a hammock and a cubby but usually theyre a million dollars outside of my budget. This was a great value (32) for checking off all my list of wants. When my kitten was 4lbs she climbed up the sisal tree part a lot and loved sleeping in the tube and the hammock. She still loves sleeping in the hammock, Ill catch her there during the day sometimes, but she sleeps in it every night. Now that shes 10+lbs, I had to put a stool underneath or support because she was bending the hammock but it works just fine. She loves to sit on the top when its close to a window and look out. I have never seen her go in the cubby but shes the atypical cat in that she doesnt like enclosed spaces. Now that I have a second cat, she will go in the tube and cubby when they play. He also loves the hammock and will sleep there when she isnt. They both sit on top and look out the window a good portion of the day. It has gotten a little wobbly but I have never tightened it and have moved it around a lot and it doesnt really affect it.

This cat tree is for a small, 10#'s or less
This cat tree is easy to assemble and comes with the connectors, bolts and wrench. But putting the sag seat in-between the 2 cord covered tubes was an issue, as to tighten it sufficiently, the carpeting was twisted and distorted. But I was able to tighten sufficiently enough to feel like it wouldn't topple over. However, when my male cat was placed on each level, the sag seat sagged at which point he jumped off. I tried adding a support under the outer edge, but my cat was not interested in checking out the upper levels after that first event. I even tried placing it in 2 different areas, including with a window to view outdoors. When I decided to return it, I found that when I had tightened the sag seat between the two tubes, the carpet had torn with the twisting action. If I hadn't taken it apart, I wouldn't have known it was ripped. I think the carpet was of lesser quality but I noticed (felt) that there were sharp metal barbs sticking out. No blood was drawn but this is another potentially serious flaw. I believe most of the tree is cardboard and the sag seat is metal gauge tubing. It is heavy. And I had to take it to a department store to get full credit on the return.

ok for the money
For the price, it's not bad. It's not made of very sturdy material, in fact, the front of the base (where the hole is) is seems to be cardboard maybe?? The first tree we received crushed this part almost immediately upon setting it up. It was cracked a bit when we received it, but the base quickly began to collapse under the weight of the rest of the tree (without a kitten using it yet). So, we got it replaced.... Also note that the carpeting is VERY thin, the 2nd tree we got actually had some fraying at the seams (because the carpet is so thin), we figured our kitten would in time fray it anyway, so that's ok. On the 2nd tree/condo, BEFORE we assembled it, we put 2x2 supports in each of the 4 corners of the base (this after we verified the replacement box was also cracking around the circle opening and we could see the same issue was about to arise). This fixed that problem. The rope wrapped around the poles is very secure, which is fantastic! We've had it about 3 weeks and have already had to tighten up the bolts once (our kitten weighs a whopping 3.2 pounds as of yesterday). If you're willing to make some adjustments, it's probably worth it. We loved the style of it, so we were willing to make it work. I'm rather certain before my kitten becomes a full grown cat, it will be completely worn out and useless. As I said, for the money, it's not a bad investment. Oh, one other thing, the hanging ball is over the center of the circular tube at the top, not attached to the top landing off to the side of the cylinder as pictured.

I was hoping that this cat tree would be better than the reviews but
Well, I was hoping that this cat tree would be better than the reviews but, I should have listened to them! When putting it together, the scratching post part doesn't even screw in well. It just keeps turning forever. That was my first sign that this isn't a well-made product. So, the little hammock part just kind of swivels around - this is both of my cat's favorite part of the tree (they are actually ONLY interested in the hammock and the scratching post), but they both completely weigh down the hammock, it looks like they're just going to slide right off when they try to lay in it. I don't know how they even do it. Also, the first time one of them tried to play with the ball, the fuzzy part came right off so it was just a plastic ball, and the second time, the whole ball just fell off altogether. Just a string there now. This thing is horribly, horribly unstable. I've been looking for an affordable cat tree for what feels like forever, but I guess you can't get a cheap one without the quality being awful. Too bad.

Unstable
I spent a long time looking for a replacement cat tree for my 2 indoor cats, this one seemed to fit the bill. However having put it together, fairly straightforward and easy to do, I am disappointed that it is so unstable. It sits along side a much larger, more expensive cat tree which the cats use more for sleeping than playing. This tree is intended for play and when they leap up onto it, the whole thing rocks and almost tips over. As one reviewer stated, all it needs is a larger more sturdy base. The top platform is also smaller than expected. I went for this make as they offer replacement scratch posts, the main part that wears out. Personally would not recommend it as a freestanding tree, it needs to be by a wall.

Lasted 3 months! AVOID!
I've changed my original review...Our kitten loved this post and sleeping in the hammock but we found it VERY unsteady so would not recommend! The string and ball came off within a month, which was to be expected, however our 5 month old kitten who weighs just over 2kg did a normal jump onto the post and it toppled over and broke completely!!! The sisal post snapped off breaking the plastic casing around where it screws! Our kitten got a scare, so this is unacceptable! This tree only lasted 3 months and we paid £30+ - it should be better made and sturdy for that money!!

Not very steady
It assembles very easily if you can decipher which pole goes where as they’re not marked. My cat jumped on it for the first time and gave himself a fright as it wobbles. I don’t think the base is weighted enough or big enough to keep the frame steady So this means my cat doesn’t use it that much so for me it’s a waste of money. My cat is fully grown but not very big so thought this would of been perfect for him which sadly it isn’t.

Poor quality - twice!
I can't believe I'm unlucky enough to receive 2 poorly constructed examples of this product. We sent the first one back as the top of the base was collapsing and left feedback with the return. We received the replacement a week later. We received a product with exactly the same fault. Luckily I have managed to fix the base myself with 2 extra pieces of wood, as our kitten will probably be an adult by the time we get a decent product from this manufacturer.

when the old one was just too dirty to hold onto
Second one of these I've purchased, when the old one was just too dirty to hold onto. Just as popular 2nd time round. Good size and shape to be a bit more discreet than some other towers - but still interesting enough for the cats to enjoy.
