Listen to My Trumpet!-An Elephant and Piggie Book

My kids and I love the Elephant and Piggie books. This title is no exception. It makes you laugh and teaches kids great friendship skills, too.

Christmas Gift

I am an elementary music teacher and was looking for books for my room and found this one! When the package arrived my 2 ten year old granddaughters were here and opened it. As soon as they saw this book, they flipped. I bought it for my younger students, but my 10 year old girls LOVE it too! This was a SCORE!

Short and sweet! Piggy sounded off key!

This installment in the Mo Willems "Piggie and Elephant" franchise, "Listen to My Trumpet", has Piggie wowing Gerald with her new trumpet. Gerald listens. Gerald winces. Sadly, she's no Satchmo. Gerald tries to think of nice things to say that will not hurt Piggies feelings:1. it's "shiny"2. it's "loud"3. Piggie "holds it well"But of course much as she likes hearing that stuff -- that is not enough for Piggie. She wants more -- she wants to know what he REALLY thinks! And Gerald, being a great friend, conscientiously decides he should tell her the truth -- albeit as gently as possible.It has a fun twist at the end, and once again shows children though the charming relationship between these two best friends, exactly what being a true friend is all about -- honesty, love, trust, compassion and concern.

Elephant and Piggie are the best! My daughter loves this and all of the Elephant and Piggie books.

My 4 year old grandson loved this book. He has all the Piggy and Gerald books now!

My 4 year old has really gotten into Mo Willems' work lately, and loves Piggie and Elephant (as well as Pigeon and Duckling)! This book is fun and silly, and allows for lots of loud, crazy noises coming out of Mom or Dad's mouth when we read this aloud. And this should DEFINITELY be read aloud. Have fun and play with the kiddos with this one!

No surprise there. Our daughter is absolutely in love with the Elephant and Piggie collection and this book did not disappoint.

Die Laute der Trompete sind sogar für einen Leseprofi schwer und das Buch ist eigentlich für Leseanfänger gedacht. Ansonsten ist die Geschichte herzig wie auch die anderen aus der Reihe.

Essa coleção é muito legal, mas esse não é um dos melhores. Minha filha de 4a adora e aprende muito vocabulário.

Todos los libros de Gerald and Piggie nos encantan! Este es graciosísimo! Las ilustraciones y caras de los personajes son geniales. Mi hija de 4 años los disfruta un montón.

Kids love them and they read them and laugh
