Great Book, But...
The recipes and pictures in this book look awesome… I will update as I try more recipes but so far these recipes don't work and look nothing like their pictures! The fact that this book got so many stars is perplexing. The egg white bread came out looking nothing like the picture - they were even flatter than pancakes - and I am a pastry chef. I followed the recipe exactly as written… anyone else? Also, the dumplings for the chicken and dumplings completely disintegrated when I added them to the simmering chicken broth ruining a perfectly good pot of chicken soup made with expensive pasture raised chicken. Not only did the dumpling recipe completely fail (and again I followed the directions to the letter) but they look nothing like the dumplings as pictured… the dumplings in the picture are white and the dumpling mixture is very yellow. Not happy so far...

Nothing new here, a disappointment to me
Really not what I expected. Yes the book has recipes, but I betcha I could pick almost each of the recipes up on the net for free, bc there is nothing in here that is truly worth the money I paid for this book, Being an avid cook, and baker I was searching for more to supplement my newest Paleo baking book that I *love*, ( in that book making cannolis, cakes etc) This book did not live up to its glowing reports, to me its just another simple recipe book and that does not mean I need complicated at all times either, sometimes simple is good, really good. But nothing actually stood out and said MAKE ME TODAY like other recipe books I have, Additionally there were recipes w/ sour cream ( as in sour cream dip?) Really?? A recipe " filler" in any book for certain, Most cooks know exactly how to make that one on their own, Just very very very disappointed probably because the hype was so great about this book~ Maybe if one has no clue how to cook anything basic this would be Ok,,,,but even so,,,,,its just not worth this kind of money,

Fantastic recipes!
I have actually had this book for over a year now, and just ordered one for my best friend because I love it so much. There are so many different recipes to use, for all different occasions. I have made several of them, and so far they have all been delicious! Some of my favorites that I've tried are the brownies, the "sweet potato thyme biscuits", and the "mandarin chicken", which is the best orange chicken I've ever had! I love that it has everything from crackers and dip, to ice cream and candy, and everything in between. If you are like me and eat a paleo diet (no grains, dairy, refined sugar, etc) this is a life saver because it makes it possible to still eat most of the things you love, without all of the "garbage" that goes with normal packaged, processed, white flour and white sugar stuff. The recipes are easy to follow, with simple ingredients and there are beautiful pictures of each recipe. And the best part is, my husband (who is a very picky eater) loves the recipes as much as I do! Very well done cookbook! A++

Perfect for a strictly dairy-free Paleo family!
There is so much to love about this book! Where do I even begin?I guess firstly I must say how appreciative I am that so many of the recipes in this book are dairy free! I run into Paleo recipes elsewhere and butter/ghee are so heavily used. Alas, I cannot have dairy! Some of the recipes that include dairy also give you alternative options. Only a few have dairy that can't be subbed. Thank goodness for that!Secondly, it's the recipes themselves. They are so expertly formulated and creative! The first recipe I tried was the blueberry crumble muffins and even my picky husband loved them! There's other recipes that I didn't even know you could do a Paleo version of. Caramels and candy bark are great examples of this. This book has beautiful pictures of the finished product. This makes me feel more of a confident baker/cook, as I can see what the finished product is supposed to look like!Initially, I thought this book was solely desserts. I was pleased to find other heavenly sounding recipes inside. Onion rings, hot wings, and mandarin chicken? I think I'm in love!Be warned that you *may* have to go and find some ingredients that are not always widely available. Coconut nectar, for example. This book is kind enough to give you online resources for buying these, though! Most of the recipes contain pretty standard pantry items for someone who has been paleo for some time. Such as maple syrup, almond meal, and ground flax.Anyone who misses eating certain foods on Paleo/Primal should really check this book out. It's so great for holidays and special occasions. Life is short and sometimes you need to indulge a tiny bit!

Yum!
I have many paleo cookbooks and I love most of them and use them on a weekly, if not daily basis. What I was missing was a great cookbook that featured *special* recipes for when you just have to have a little somethin' extra. Paleo Indulgences is it! I've only had it for two weeks but I've tried the one-minute cake (oh my, so good and you'd never think it was paleo), the quick bread (delish!!) the Salisbury Steak (for sure it will be added to my meal rotation) and the Crock Pot Barbeque Beef (by far the best paleo barbeque sauce I've made). They were all absolutely delicious and my non-paleo family agreed. I've eaten paleo for over a year now and this is definitely one of my new favorite cookbooks. I can eat a 'treat' now and then without having a crash and burn. Thanks for this gem of a cookbook! It's fabulous!

Love it
This is a really nice book for treats! It makes following Paleo much easier. The savory dishes are definitely worth trying and there are enough variety to suit all family. Glad we found this

Paleo Indulgences
My daughter has been using recipes from this book and these have been delicious! Even my husband, who is not particularly sold on paleo eating, has asked her to cook several of the recipes again. A lovely way to add variety to your paleo diet.

Do NOT purchase the Kindle version, BUY THE PAPER COPY.
The recipes themselves are GREAT! I have only made a couple of the recipes in this book and they were very good. I have a dozen hightlighted that I will try with more time. My problem with the book is the Kindle version, this book is not set up properly for a Kindle cookbook and it is almost impossible to find a recipe. The individual recipes are not listed in the table of contents as they are for some kindle cookbooks and the author has cute titles for chapter's such as Today's Specials, Restaurant Recreations and the Candy Counter. However when you click on the chapter it doesn't give you a list of the recipes under that chapter. So you have to scroll thought one recipe at a time. I would purchase this cookbook in the paper copy in which case I would give it 5 stars I think it is a great Paleo cookbook.

I LOVE this book
I LOVE this book! I have been disappointed in other diet/Vegan/gluten free cookbooks I have purchased despite the books having positive reviews. The recipes came out looking like the photos and tasted great! I bought the Kindle edition and don't have an issue with the layout of the pages. Other Kindle edition cookbooks are the same way.
