Geometrical Design Coloring Book (Dover Design Coloring Books)

Not That Great
I use this product for coloring in as an adult. I dislike that it is printed on both sides of each page. The designs didn't live up to what I was expecting. I still work out of this book sometimes, but I don't like it as much as I thought I would. The actual quality of the paper and the book is good, but just the designs are not my favorite.

Deja-vu on almost every page
This book doesn't offer many design variations & is too simplistic for my tastes. While a few were great optical illusion type (and therefore almost worth the price), there are less than 5 complex designs, the rest are exact repeats with slightly different sized elements, angles, or another simple element added. Boring for those who want a challenge & dislike repeating same theme/concept/design. For no-brainer type meditations where you don't want to focus too much on demands of the design, it would be good, as well as for beginners or those intimidated with too many choices. Of course, some will say there aren't many options for variety because of the geometric theme's limits--but the same could be said for mandala adult coloring books, yet there are an unlimited number of designs & levels of challenge in all the mandala books, that is not found in any of the geometric ones, so far.The designs were decent quality paper & lines, not best nor worst. See my other mandala/coloring book reviews for more details on the best choices from the 8 sampled (bought & still use). I especially recommend "Power Mandalas" (BEST of all offerings here), but NOT "Classic Mandalas" (low quality design, simple & boring).HINT: Photocopy, scan & print, or trace each page-design onto good quality craft, watercolor and/or acid-free paper, because you WILL want to frame ALL of your completed work/designs in "Power Mandalas" and still be able to go back & re-do certain ones repeatedly :-) This same hint applies to all of the adult coloring books.Have fun!Gina

Best of the Bunch
To me, this is one of the best mandala books out there. True mandalas are circular with pattern designs, not with animals, flowers, trees, etc. Also, many of the "adult" coloring books I've checked out are printed on poor quality coloring book paper (worse than newsprint) and printed on both sides; thus, if you use markers, you'll destroy the design on the other side from ink bleed through.Even though it IS printed on both sides, the paper is good quality and the markers I used didn't bleed through. The only ones that do are Sharpies.I also loved the patterns - complicated enough to engage but not so busy that you end up with a headache. I've bought several mandala coloring books and this is by far the best and my favorite. Once I finish the one I have, I'll probably buy another one - it's the best of the bunch.

Coloring isn't just for kids!
This book is great for someone of any age! As the publisher notes, you can choose any combination of colors for a geometric design as opposed to a scene with people or objects. And if you photocopy or scan/print the designs, you can color them over and over choosing new colors each time. There are a nice variety of designs, 46 in all. Many of them are circular, mandala-like designs. Most are suitable for crayons, colored pencils, or markers, while a few have tighter spaces better suited for colored pencils or fine-tipped markers. These coloring pages make a great activity for kids and a wonderful practice in stress relief, meditation, or just time-wasting for teens and adults of all ages. I'm a college student, and we have one of these at home. I just ordered two; one as a gift for a friend, and one for myself here at school. Highly recommended.

An intricate and intriguing book of puzzles to color.
I really like this coloring book. I love to use different color pencils to start the process of coloring. Each picture comes out as a beautiful surprise. In addition they look so "cool" that I have thought about framing one or two of them.I wouldn't use anything but colored pencils on these pages. Crayons and markers wouldn't make sharp enough lines and there is always the problem with bleeding colors with markers. I purchased a 36 set of colored pencils and it has been perfect for these Geometrical designs.Bottom line to this review is that if you are patient and choose your colors wisely you'll have a wonderful surprise when the picture is complete.

The images are great! The paper isn't the highest quality
The images are great! The paper isn't the highest quality, and I wish the pages were one sided. I have to put a paper under the page I am coloring to make sure the pressure of my pencil doesn't cause the images to transfer onto each other. But other than that, it's a good book.

THE ONLY THING THAT I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT THIS WAS THAT THE COLORING DESIGNS WERE FRONT AND BACK SO IT IS LIKE I GOT HALF A BOOK AND HAVE TO PICK WHICH PICTURE I COLOR. OTHER THAN THAT I LOVE THE DESIGNS.

Fun Coloring Book!
As a creative adult who likes having fun stuff to do and "crafts" to keep me busy in the winter months, I enjoyed this coloring book. So many color choices, each finished product is really fun once it's complete. Could be fun for a child too but some have a lot of lines, so for an older child that can color within the lines.

Great fun and a great book
What a fantastic book!I've never done my own colouring before and I always have loved abstract and geometric deigns. This book was perfect for me and I loved working it. I'm surprised to find so many "abstract" colouring books around and wish they would talk to clothing designers so we'd get a lot less clothing with a lot less flowers on them!

Very good
If, like me, you enjoy doodling away and playing with patterns, this is just what it says on the tittle. Some of the designs are very unusual, others maybe a bit simplistic. Anyway, I'm off to get the felt tips out before my daughter comes back from nursery! :-)

Great for Those Who Like Colouring Modern Designs
I bought this book for my grown up daughter - we share the therapeutic hobby of colouring! She prefers more modern themes, and achieved some great results with these designs. Good quality paper means felt tips can be used without fear of leakage through to the next page.

Great product!
Great product for adult or advanced children, very intricate designs & nice paper! The only thing I thought was that for a colouring book it was a little expensive! But would use seller again as it arrived quickly

Good for the price
This colouring book has lots of beautiful patterns. The only issue I have is that felt tip pens come through the other side onto the next pattern. Good for the money and if you don't mind losing a pattern per page otherwise use good quality colouring pencils.
