Intriguing yet relatable
Bought this book as a gift for my niece. I flipped it open to take a peek and was so engaged I had to read the rest of the book! While the book has futuristic elements, I appreciate the author’s relatable writing style that helps the reader think the story could really happen.

Pretty funny!
Very unusual book, told in first person. I haven’t finished it yet, but I plan on finishing it sometime soon. I had bought too many books at one point and now I’m catching up to reading the books I bought. This one is a good one though. Looking forward to the ending.

My 12 year old son could hardly put the book down
Anyone who has a young pre-teen early teenage boy knows it's all about FORTNIGHT! Well as a concerned parent I of course laid down the rules, NO FORTNIGHT during the weekdays. It's activities, HW, Study and then find a book to read. We tried many books and he found them boring. I came across this book after seeing another young boy reading it and just the sight of how interested he was, caused me to take note of the title. I took a chance and my son loved it. In fact he has now asked to get another one so I just purchased THINGS THAT ARE. I'm hoping we are on to more enjoyable reading!

A Childhood Favorite
As a child it was very hard for me to enjoy reading - I had video games to hold my focus. One day my parents brought home a giant pile of books for me to try reading. Things Not Seen by Clements was one of those books. It was one of the only books that I could read as a child, and I loved it. I still do as a 21 year old student. The character development of Alicia and Bobby, not to mention their parents, is a very interesting experience which is joined by Bobby's exciting and terrifying experience of becoming invisible. I bought this for my kindle a couple days ago, and today, after 4 and a half hours of strait reading I remember why it was a childhood favorite.
