Worth a read!

If you are willing to know about the history of india from beginning you should definetely go for this. It gives a brief description of everything,print and page quality was also very good.

Finally got my hands on the great RC Majumdar's masterpiece on Ancient India. This book stops at 1200 AD, but is a brilliant work for those who want to understand India in the real sense. Most of what we see today is adulterated, and this work gives the context to our history.Published way before all these right-wing and left-wing days, this essentially is one of those versions before social media and WhatsApp universities. Using a language that minces no words on political correctness, not necessarily with any malicious intent, this describes India the way the author sees it. You may agree or disagree, and that is your own choice. But a good read, none the less.Another good thing I like about this book is the this is indexed based on similar kingdoms, as much as it also talks of the connections as a narrative. It also touches on the ruin of our education systems like Nalanda and Takshashila before their fall.It has an exciting way to explain how the well respected ‘Hindus’ and ‘India’ lost its place in the world primarily due to its newly manipulated caste system, which left us more ignorant and divided than ever before. The author, at some point, shares on how this made us open and easy targets for Mohammedan invasions that we could not fight back as much as we could in the past with the other invasions. Good introspective, to think of cause and consequence.Just about started reading. Hope to have a great journey on the coming days.

Great book the quality of pager at this range is absolutely amazing

An interesting book for those who wish to know the history of India from the beginning till the 11th century C.E. I like this book because it takes the reader in a step by step manner through history covering the important persons and events in just the sufficient details. One can know some of the subtle details of our history which helps in forming a balanced view of our present society and also in being proud of our past heritage. At last, I would say that it makes for an amazing introduction to our history for the one who seeks to dwell deeper into history. 🙂🙂

This has been a very bad experience. First bought it where the seller was named as 'MLBD'. Received a copy which was xerox of the original. Please do not buy from there. Next choose 'Motilal Banarsidas Publishers pvt ltd'. The cover seems genuine with different soft page for pictures at the end. But the print quality again is very bad. Need to improve it. Have not read it. The print itself takes the joy of reading.

Book is in good condition, but the page is bluish,, as I have compared in the picture with another book whose page is white....Publishing house::-Motilal Banarsidas..Apart from it,, content is to the point and I strongly suggest to give a read....
