Kempf Natural Coco Coir Doormat, 30" X 48"

Bought this as a gift and she is very happy with it. She loves how thick and heavy it is as it does not get blown around or moved easily when using unlike some of the thinner lighter weight ones do. Still new so will see how it holds up over time but gauging how it is constructed, it should hold up for a long time.

Overall looks ok. It is a bit flimsy.

This is a really nice door mat, much better than I had expected. I bought the largest size for my large, wooden front porch. I live in New England and a lot of snow and ice blows across the front porch, making it very slippery. This mat is very thick and lush, almost too nice to subject to the elements of a New England winter. I placed this mat from the edge of the wooden front porch, to the front door. I placed a metallic boot cleaner mat on the rug closest to the door. This combination works very well. People don't slip on the porch, the rug is too heavy to slide around on the porch, and the mat holds the small boot scraper mat in place.I had planned to only use it in the winter, but I will leave it out year round. One caveat - my front porch is covered, but the sides and front are not screened-in, or protected in any manner whatsoever. Thus, the mat does get full sun during part of the day, rain, and large amounts of wind, and snow and ice. We hang it over the edge of the porch to shake-off the snow.This was a good solution to our problems and I recommend this to other people with very cold, long, and icy winters.

Would not buy again, not worth the price paid. Already fibers are shredding. This mat replaces a similar mat bought from the old Expo Design store, now closed. That one lasted 15 years. Would be surprised if this one makes it to the end of the year.

Love the look. Love the size. Hate the shedding. It sheds like a syberian husky dog. If you don't sweep your entry every week then it will start to pile up. It's a great price for a good product but it's not the most amazing coir mat in the world.

Very pleasantly surprised by how thick and well made this rug is! This rug is a generous size and the dense pile is effective in getting clay mud from our boots. Haven’t had it long but by the looks and feel of it, this is a quality, well made rug.

Nice heavy weight with deep pile. Does a good job of wiping dirt off shoes.

The first KEMPF coir doormat had a section of edging braid detached along the side but was otherwise heavy, thick, impressive and gratifying. Amazon was swift and responsive in sending out a replacement which sadly was of inferior weave, inferior density and inferior workmanship overall - - - very floppy and loose. The second one goes back. Sorry to see such decline in quality. Amazon made good on the first. Hope the KEMPF company scrutinizes its merchandise and evaluates its contractors produce more thoroughly. Too much busy-making trouble !
