My Son Loved This Book
My son loved this book when he was in pre-school. We got it from the library time and time again. This is a cute, clever little book. It is fun, simple and silly. It's one that a parent can read over and over again. A child can easily learn to read along using the beautiful illustrations. I ordered this copy for my great niece. She's not verbal yet and is more in to tactile books. Hopefully, this will be a new favorite as she learns to speak.

Meh
Bought this as a gift without reading. I just knew it was a well rated book and highly recommended. I was disappointed though. Thereโs no real story and doesnโt really makes sense or have a point for the little ones and of course itโs too simple for the older ones. Wish I had returned it.

Wonderful simple book for infants/ toddlers
As in description, the book uses very few words but the illustrations are so cute and by pointing out how the words work together to draw attention to the artwork is precious.

I love it, my 14 month old gets bored of it
I love the clever use of words and artwork. My 14 month old gets bored a few pages in though because it's more or less (in his eyes, I'm assuming) the same thing page after page.

Beloved classic
This book came and was a prefect addition to our book collection!! Even my not-ready-to-read 5 year old is able to "read" this book entirely by himself to baby!! Super fun, simple book. Highly recommend you add this to your at home library!

I don't mind reading this book over and over
This book is really cute! My 1yo girl loves it and wants to read it over and over. For this book, I don't mind!

Sturdy and artistic
I bought it for a child who enjoyed the book as it was read to her. Later she was able to flip through the book on her own because the pages were cardboard and not paper

Go for it!
I bought this book for my baby and when it arrived I was a little taken aback by how simple and little content there was in the book. It appeared a bit boring. So I wasn't sure if my little fella would ever like it. But then my niece called around, found the book and devoured it! She absolutely loved the simplicity of it and she's five. She found it so funny and really entertaining. So I guess kids see things that us adults miss :)Now I'm really looking forward to my little man growing up to appreciate this great book too. I would recommend this book to all!

Clear images and only the title words used
This is an ideal book for under 5's, simple text and rhyming text which is supported by illustrations. A very creative use of four words. I'm making a story bag to go with the book to use with my 3month old, 16 month old and 3 year old.

Silly but fun
I think this one is all about how you tell it. I can get my daughter to laugh everytime but I can see why others might miss the joke. Definitely worth a try.

a super, simple rhyming story
.... that as your child gets older, can actually recite back to you! We've had this since my daughter was 1, now 2.5 and she can read it to me - well, I like to think that but obviously her memory is just good! Lovely bright pictures and the fruit is recognisable to very young ones too. Heartily recommended.......................

Just the right book
My baby nephew in Australia was captivated by this title. The quietly developing text intermingled with the curiously appealing illustrations have such appeal for little people. I have repeated this purchase, along with other Emily Gravett titles, as gift choices for new babies, and christening gifts. Highly recommended.
