Wonderful
We should have got this years ago for her when it first came out, it works wonders with her anxiety especially when fireworks are all over the place. She is afraid of storms, thunder especially. Ever since we got this shirt she has not had anxiety! It is very comfortable for her, doesn't make her hot, it is a good thing!

Pure Magic!
First, I won't lie, it is hard to put on. Very hard.Once it is on however it is magic. I watched my dog immediately calm down and lay down by my side. No hyperventilating, no excitement.

Definite Improvement!!!
This shirt has performed well beyond expectations! Puppy used to hide under/behind kitchen table and shake so much that you could hear his collar. He now plays comfortably in the common area during light to moderate thunder. He only goes to kitchen refuge if thunder is really bad, as in shaking the house repeatedly. It helped tremendously with fear/anxiety of fireworks as well. My dad jokes about how much it calms him, saying things like “okay, time to remove the dog’s ‘quaalude’”.Furthermore, it helps in a way I never thought of… When the storm or other event is over I remove the shirt. This seems to let him know ‘all is clear’. Before ThunderShirt, he would stay hidden for sometimes hours after the storm had passed. Now as soon as I take it off he’s back to his normal self. In fact, it appears that he handles loud noises better now, since using ThunderShirt, even when he’s not wearing it. For example, without the shirt it takes more frequentl/louder thunder now before he retreats to the kitchen and henceforth dons his sporty shirt.Fabric is high quality and soft. The polo print is a cute sporty look. It took a few times of putting it on him to get the hang of it. Definitely read all instructions and have them accessible during the first few uses! But it is easily adjustable. A little tip: I had to make the fit much tighter than I anticipated at first. So much so that, combined with the calming effect, I checked to make sure he was breathing okay LOL. But the material is made to give some and appears to feel more snug when dog is standing. Also ensure the Velcro is lined up perfectly so that the scratchy side of it doesn’t irritate your pet’s skin.*Another little side note: The attachments are Velcro, so they’re going to make what could be a strange and startling noise upon adjusting fit on a pet. I’d make sure to follow the brand’s instruction on initiating wear when the ‘anxiety trigger’ is NOT present. This way they can get more used to the Velcro sound and wearing something new when not already scared crazy.Every animal is different. While this did not completely eliminate all recognition of loud noises, it has definitely provided more comfort during such occurrences.

Didn’t work for me
As you can see from these reviews, it works for some but not others. It was well made, so that wasn’t an issue. But my dog gets the shakes during thunder, and putting it on only made her more nervous. So when she’s freaking out, I just sit on the couch with her between my legs and pet her. She’s a mini poodle, so don’t know about large dogs. Works wonders!

Thundershirt turned my Terminator into a UN Peacekeeper
This product is nothing short of amazing. I adopted a 1+ year old ridgeback who turned into a reactive, protective Terminator within weeks of bringing him home--and this is the story about how the Thundershirt saved us.My sweet pup had spent almost 8 months at a shelter in a cage and no one wanted him because he seemed too hyper. I took one look at this handsome, muscular, athletic young lad and knew I could give him lots of exercise and attention and that I had to get him out of that cage. Home we went. He loved the car and walks and daycare and fetch and everything was new and awesome! And he was suddenly eating amazing raw food and sleeping on a bed for the first time in his life and came to know that his mommy was never ever going to hurt or leave him. Life was grand.Then....About two months into our new life together, the ridgie alpha maleness, high prey drive and reactivity kicked in, and suddenly everyone and everything was a threat to his precious mommy. He would pace and pant in the car and whine at engine noises from cars around us; he would growl and lunge at any dogs who got near us on a leash; and God forbid anyone step out of an elevator or around a corner too close to me. My sweet ridgie rescue became the most committed personal bodyguard on earth, which is kinda awesome but not practical most days. So we started obedience training, but it was clearly going to take a ton of raw treats, time and money to curb this behavior. We were stressed out.Enter the Thundershirt. I bought it on a whim to see if it would help with the car anxiety. After a few seconds of staring at the instructions and fumbling with it, I got it on him. He had been racing around the living room like a maniac trying to murder his faborite rope toy (which is typical puppy behavior and hilarious to watch), and the second I put the shirt on him, he totally chilled out and almost immediately fell into a sweet sleep. He looked soooo chillaxed. I even took a walk to the front door and knocked on it to see if he would come racing over and barking like usual. Nothing. He wandered over to investigate, but was silent and calm. Interesting. Maybe this thing really worked!!! After about 20 minutes, I decided to throw all caution to the wind and take him on a walk during peak doggie time in our neighborhood. Scary thought.I slipped his Roughwear harness (also blue--he looked very stylish) over the Thundershirt, opened the door and out we went. I could not believe what wasn't happening. No pulling. No reactivity. A bird landed on the ground in front of him and he just looked at it. Two dogs passed us within 15 feet and WW3 did not ensue. Previously, that would have resulted in a snarling, barking confrontation. This time, he stopped and looked at them and tensed a bit but did nothing else. I was stunned. He even took a poo not too far away from another pup, something that never would have been possible before. When we got home, I took the shirt off and he immediately went back to sleep. The next morning, I really pushed the envelope by sleeping in past 5:00 am (which was when I would typically have to take him out in order to avoid all the "threats" around us) and took him out during peak doggie time. He sauntered around the corner, and we ran smack dab into a male lab. Nothing happened. The lab even gave a low growl and my ridgie stopped and waited for him to pass. I could not believe my eyes. Then a loud engine popped around the corner (we live in an urban area) and my little man tensed up but didn't freak out like usual. The Thundershirt works, people. If it can turn my large ridgie Terminator into a docile keeper of the peace, surely it can help with any anxiety your pup might be facing. I will only use it when we walk in public or ride in the car, because his playful, energetic personality is a big part of him and I don't want to stifle that. But wow, what a difference this product has made for us. Bravo, Thundershirt. You nailed it.

Stitching came out after 3 Uses.
Better fit then my the other 2 bought years ago.The stitching that holds the Velcro tabs are pulling away from shirt after just three times of putting it on and taking it off.My wife tried reinforcing the week stitching and utilizing permanent fabric glue as well. These are measures taken by her after a couple of years of use. I feel as though this may be from the fabric blend of this product. The spandex which may be the reason for the better fit may also allow too much stretching in the areas of Velcro connection.Repairs after just 3 uses is unacceptable for something costing the better part of $50!Beware it won’t last unless the manufacturer makes changes to this construction!

Thundershirts work! A Doubter is Flipped
Our family has a Pom-Chi whose nerve condition is horrendous. She will get riled at any kind of vibration - a truck driving by the house, a doorbell ringing, mail coming through the slot, other dogs near hear when she is out for a walk, fireworks, and thunder and lightning. We were actually contemplating finding her a new home - until I learned about Thundershirts on a TV Ad. I went to my Amazon account, and found them, and found an Extra Small for the Pom-Chi.We put it on her, in a non-thunderstorm condition. It was like magic! You could note her immediate calm - as a matter of fact, we examined the Thundershirt afterwards to see if it had some kind of 'tranquilizer patch' that was inducing a drug state! No way. This works perfectly, and saved our relationship with our dog. Interestingly, she no longer chases the mail at the door, with or without the Thundershirt; and all other causes for nerves seem to be magically gone. There seems to be a wonderful residual effect when we remove the Thundershirt as well; as the dog stays calm and likeable for hours.I am certain that using the Thundershirt has given our puppy a new "Leash on Life", so to speak. When wearing the Thundershirt, she is calm and likeable. You can tell that whatever nerve endings that were exposed and giving her the problems are absolutely salved by the Thundershirt. However she was being tortured by vibrations, sonics, other dogs, or whatever, is GONE! Believe me, we are absolutely on cloud 9 now that we have found a non-medicinal solution to our Pom-Chi's (and our) woes!

Funziona
Acquistatela e aiuterete tanto i vostri tesori.
