Rayovac batteries are the best in my opinion. They last longer than some of the others.

Child proof is just a way to cheapen the production cost in my opinion. The original packaging was easy and convenient to use. This packaging is not convenient. You will need to carry scissors to access the product to use it. Hearing aids batteries die at any time and you need to be able to easily replace them. This package is not convenient. I will no longer use Rayovac.In addition, Rayovac actually had the nerve to charge $8.80 for damage control for a product that was in perfect shape.

These last pretty good. problem is it came in a human safe container. I have to take a pair of metal shears to cut them open. Child proof but they have to understand that some of us old folks have arthritus as i do and it's very hard to open. I'm going to get my grandson to open mine and then I will never buy this brand again. They always seem to worry about children getting to them, buy if your a real adult you don't keep these were children can get to them. It's getting to be the same for pain pills and others.

Update--they last even longer than I previously stated--now going into 4 days @ 14 hours a day with Oticon hearing aids. . That makes them a true bargain considering we are talking a duration far outpacing any other 312 batteries I have used. I have tried around eight different kinds for comparison data.First, these batteries are far easier to open and retrieve than many of the the new [child proof] plastic bubble pack designs that need scissors to get at the batteries by hacking your way in forcefully. The Ray o Vacs have a slot you can open for much greater convenience.Also, depending on the vendor, these Ray o Vacs can be about 1/3 more expensive than many other brands I have bought. But here's the thing--they can last as long as 3 days for me in my hearing aids. I am assuming one day's worth of use is around 14 hours. No other battery I have tried lasts anywhere near that long. So these batteries--although a bit pricey-- are actually a good value in that sense. And it's great not having to change batteries so often.

The packaging is child proof and quite difficult to open without a good strong pair of scissors. I also thought I was getting an 8 battery packet like I usually do and these were only 6 batteries to the packet.
