Toysmith 9" Cosmic Ray Wand

A fun toy for my kid with autism! (But oh the label!)
My kid with autism functions on a toddler level and LOVES toys with flashing lights. This wand seems durable, and it's easy to make it light up, so my son can operate it. I dinged it a star because it came with big labels on it with a barcode and other words that block the view of the lights in the handle, and they were very hard to remove. I spent more than an hour slowly peeling the labels off.Pros: * Lights up -- my kid loves that! * Made of a gentle material, similar to a rubber ball. * Easy to operate.Cons: * Labels are nearly impossible to remove. * I'd like it if it had replaceable batteries.

You don’t get 4
Product works fine BUT the photo shows 4 of them. I obviously missed the package size and never would have spent almost $12 on ONE. You can get the same thing in the Dollar section at Target

Not durable light up mechanism broke within a week
My son had been asking for months for this stupid wand after seeing a kid YouTuber have one. He was SO excited for it. It broke after like a week but he still plays with it even though it no longer lights up. It was ridiculously expensive for the lack of durability. Two stars only because my son still enjoys playing with it without the lighting up.

Durable, horrible sticker to peel off, works well. No complaints on product.
Pretty durable product, label was a nightmare to peel off, ended up using goo-gone. Smells like some pretty toxic plastic/rubber, but it's from china so it probably actually is toxic, but it's a rubber wand toy, so it's fine. Seems durable and lights up when you whack something with it. Has one light in the handle near the top and one in the ball that flash for 10 seconds or something after you whack it. Kids enjoyed for a while and it will likely resurface from time to time as a good distraction. I'd buy it again.

This wand was perfect for the Fantasmic water show
We went to Disney world and tried to pre-buy as many souvenirs as possible to cut down on impulse buys while in the park. This wand was perfect for the Fantasmic water show. We surprised our daughter with this right before going in and she was thrilled. An unexpected perk of pre-buying souvenirs is the quality is much better than what you get at the parks and it's unique. A couple parents around us asked where they could get one.

Love it
Have had this for about a year now, it's still going strong. I should add that I bought this for my then 1.5 year old son. He loves bright colors and cause and effect toys. Initially he had a hard time banging it in order to get the lights to come on but he's older now so he has more strength. I'm impressed that the batteries haven't died yet. Definitely got my money's worth.

Not so durable.
Love this product I purchased two after seeing one in the doctors office. However I just pulled them out of the mailbox and one is in the trash already and the other is cracked and won't last long. I have two boys 8 and 1.5. No idea what they did to them but I wouldn't call this a durable product. It may be better for the younger children.

Surprisingly durable.
I bought one in early June 2015. It lasted until January 2017 against a 2 year old (well, 2 year old for the bulk of its life). For a less than $10 toy meant to be hit against the floor, I think that isn't bad at all. I liked it enough to buy a replacement.
