Good value for money
This item is excellent and works well, however the magnifying feature reduces the clarity of the view finder and the corners are thin and I am concerned about the long term durability. Overall I am happy with the loupe

A curious device that works. However watch the sizing!
I hadn't realised how much I needed a viewfinder until I started using my camera outside in bright sun. This device covers the camera’s lcd screen, with an eyepiece allowing the screen to be visible, even in sunlight. A frame sticks onto the camera screen and the main cover clips securely onto the frame when needed. So far so good. However the sizing (Supposedly for 3” (72mm) Universal) is strange. My camera, a Sony a5100 is claimed to have a tilting 3” (72mm) screen, although the visible screen size is actually less, being 65mm wide by 37 mm deep. By comparison the inside of the LCD Viewfinder frame is 61mm wide by 46 mm deep. As a result, the settings down one edge of the camera’s lcd screen are hard to see, while there is a gap at the bottom of the frame which allows light in. (I have remedied this by sticking a strip of black plastic along the bottom of the frame). It would be useful if a diagram could be provided Showing the actual dimensions of this item, along with instructions as to how to measure the camera lcd screen so customers would have a better idea whether it would fit their particular camera. In a nutshell, it does work, but I would recommend double checking the sizes before you fit it.

really useful in bright sunlight.
I use it on my Nikon Coolpix camera which only has a screen and no viewfinder.

No Diopter adjustment - no good to me!
I rated this at two stars as there’s no diopter adjustment which means I can’t use it.

Cheep butttt it does the job.
If you broke your EVF screen/ribbon/ribbon clamp and can't afford 300GBP for a new mainbaord well this is for you use a full face respirator or need more clearance well its perfect as well!So first the highlightsGood enough optics and alines well with A7 screens might even work for camcorders...Free micro hood (unless you use glue fix)Can be used folded in but best is folded out. There is internal reflections on the plastic but this can be solved with light sceal tape for a few extra penny's if you so care.Sadly it's a non-fixed or latching mounting for the rubber meaning it falls off with a tap or flick there is a strap incouded but just glue or use a small scew bolt and nut on the plastic/rubber if your going to be running around with this.Using a plastic clip tab locking plate system, you mount a base to your camera and clip in a holder for the rubber magnification peice and that's it you get a few inches of bulk and an extended viewfinder using your back screen(Also yes it will make you realise how depressingly low resolution a backscreen is if you use current gen EVFs)Installation notes: keep device powered on to see alignment as it's offset when rubber holder is mounted.Use the included strap or make modifications to secure rubber to plastic mount plate.
