and hence moving the cover for access can be a bit daunting and tedious, but is doable
I installed this water heater in an '84 Terry 28' as an alternative to a $600 to $1,000 cube on-demand version as a replacement for the original piloted 6 gallon equipment. It works splendidly and while there is a trade-of in sacrificing some space in the rear bathroom closet, the convenience of having instant access to the controls and temperature readout is without peer at any price. Now I do have an Eccotech full size heater in my home and it works flawlessly as well, but I chose the Rain Man over the Eccotech L5 for two reasons. Firstly, the Eccotech has open venting at the top, as opposed to the 90mm vent on the Rain Man. And secondly, having instant access to the temperature readout is a definite plus. For the very short runs for installation, 3/8" copper is adequate for the gas supply (37k BTU input) and while the 90mm exhaust flange is uncommon here in the US market, Type 2 (double wall) 3" stovepipe just happens to fit perfectly over the 90mm Rain Man exhaust flange. With the heater full-on the flue pipe is barely warm to the hand a foot above the heater. I happened to have a 4" hole saw from another project which made for a painless breach through the roof (1/4" plumb pilot hole).Cons. You will need to use All Four mounting holes to firmly affix this unit to the wall (5/8" Strongfloor base to trailer structure with 2x4 spacers) in order to push the Pex (in my case) up into the heater. This unit is very compact, and hence moving the cover for access can be a bit daunting and tedious, but is doable. I used four #14 x 1 1/2" drill screws .. providing wrench flats for tightening (upper two screws). Well worth the extra effort. If you're in a $100K Class A you'll probably opt for the 50k BTU $1,000 unit, but for my application I highly recommend the Rain Man L6 unit. I've just ordered another one for another trailer up on the other end of the property. A Solid 5 Star Recommendation.

This is not a good product. Very misleading about being able to set the temp on what you want. If anyone knows different let me know.

it works like a champ
If you can keep the forward pressure up sufficiently behind it, it works like a champ. When I first installed it, I had no pressure reserve tank, and only a 45psi pump, so it unfortunately didn't stay running. Gave it a reserve tank (2-gal), and suddenly you can't kill this thing!!

We bought this as a replacement to the water heater in an old travel trailer, it does the job. Plus it takes up a lot less room than the old heater which is always a plus in a small trailer.

We seem to have an issue with the batteries. sometimes it will just shut off or not turn on at all.if it does we have to hit the switch and turn it on again and then it fires up.we have hot showers
