First, the cons: I bought this hat in an XL and had to exchange it for 2XL. They seem to run a full size small. Also, the hat seems to shed a bit of lint. I intend to wash it before wearing it again so I won't have to worry about little black flecks on my forehead - not so cute.Now the pros: it's vegan, it's sturdy, it seems well-made. It shades my face from sun and keeps the rain off. The chin strap keeps the wind from stealing the hat. Supposedly, you can wet this hat, shake off the water, and wear it damp to cool your head; I look forward to trying this feature on summer hikes.Best of all, it's cute! It looks like a cross between a wide-brimmed felt hat and an Australian-style cowboy hat. Cute, vegan hats are hard to find!I recommend this product (provided you don't mind a bit of lint, and remember to size up) and this seller (the exchange went through without a hitch).

The size was 2 sizes too big, which means it is way bigger than expected. To return it is not reasonable (it costs about the same or more to ship it). Good luck.

The XXL fit perfectly. I ordered an XL first and it was too tight. Not your fault. I don't hear hats often, so I don't know what my hat size is.
