Hunt Vs. Lauda: The Epic 1976 Formula 1 Season Hardcover – August 28, 2013

This book has a lot of great photos and info from that epic 1976 F1 season depicted in the new movie "Rush." For F1 fans this would be a great addition to their library. Very highly recommended!

A great true story. You don't have to be a racing fan to enjoy the story.

As expected, a quite a bit more thorough and, uh, truthful account of the year and the relationship between the protagonists which was more intimate than that expressed on screen. Anyone who remotely enjoyed the movie will gain much insight via the book.Thoroughly enjoyable.

A properly written book that doesn't especially focus on Hunt being a drinking loonie. frankly nobody gets to be a GP winner without a serious base of real talent.

It's terrific stuff! Fearnley put me right back in the scene, someplace I thought I remembered all too well but you know, the aging thing? Anyway, the mix of photos is excellent except I wish he had used a photo of the Ligier-Matra with the enormous airbox I remember from Long Beach, THAT was an AIRBOX, Gypsy dancer and all! Editorially, the book is well structured and the art direction is excellent. I was a little surprised at Fearnley's bemusement of the knobby tires at Kyalmi; back in the day it was standard operating procedure to transfer the cars from the garage/paddock to the hot pits on rain tires to help keep the racing slicks squeaky clean. All in all, a terrific book, one for the armchair F-1 historian and those fascinated by Ron Howard's "Rush".

Tolle Bilder, die diese spannende Saison klasse eingefangen haben. Auch die Geschichte drum herum wird sehr gut erzählt. Einfach nur empfehlenswert.

映画「RUSH」に合わせての発刊なのでしょう。レース場での写真などとても大らかな時代ですね。出来れば他のレーサーでも出版してほしいですね。

Substantial text for what may be regarded as just a 'coffee table' book. Photos to satisfy discerning F1 enthusiasts accompanied by detailed reporting of the 1976 season.It's quite large to have on your lap to read, but that didn't stop me giving it five stars.I'm no F1 aficionado, but those that are, I'm sure, won't be disappointed.
