I looked hard at the Chinese knockoffs, but after zooming in on the welds, I decided to go with the real deal. I would hate to think what could happen if this thing broke loose under my RV. It would surely take out the brakes and even the emergency brake. I paid the extra money for the Super Steer unit. And if you are contemplating a tack bar for your Ford F-53 chassis, just do it. Absolutely night and day now. After installing it, I was so comfortable on the interstate that I could hardly keep my eyes open, even when trucks passed me. The Chinese knockoffs may be just as good, but I did not want to take a chance. I just need to drink more coffee with my free hand now because I can drive one-handed and relaxed.

OMG changed my life
I have a 2017 Winnebago Vista 29VE. I tried gradually making changes to help the steering and ride. The biggest problem for me was feeling like I was “constantly driving” and never really able to take my hands off the wheel. New tires and alignment helped a good bit, but I continued to get blown off the road with semis passing by. Then I tried the roadmaster steering stabilizer. It helped somewhat but not a real big difference. Next I added Koni shocks to soften the bumps. Meh. Again, marginal improvement. Then I read that I should get a rear TRACK bar, not another rear SWAY bar (my F53 chassis already has one from the factory). So I put this product on my rig. First time driving felt like a religious experience. I couldn’t believe it. The thing was rock steady. It seemingly fuses the whole frame and coach body to the rear axle. I could drive with no hands for good stretches and actually test the alignment. I no longer have to “constantly drive”. Then I put on my flat tow vehicle and drove again. No change. Still rock steady. I have not yet had the semis blow past me, though I kept hoping for one on the Highway during my test drive. If you only make one change to improve your handling, you should really start with this one. It will rock your world. Install isn’t hard either, but you’ll want to be on level ground if your model requires disconnecting the factory sway bar for installation.

CHF and this trackbar, and you got something
Did a CHF (cheap handling fix) and this trackbar on a 16k lb F53 chassis. Did a test drive after each step (front CHF, rear CHF, trackbar. Each install was an incremental improvement. All together, they work fantastic. Went from a drunk whale to a '74 Caddy ride. The track bar really helped with the push and pull when trucks passed on the Interstate.Installation was well under an hour for the track bar. That was on flat concrete in the shade, on a creeper. Put rear wheels up on 4" blocks to have a little more wiggle room underneath.

Improved sway
Liked the improvements on drive and sway control .pricey compared to cost +materials if you have time to fabricate one . The 18k gvw axle , round axle seems less responsive than the 20k+ gvw square axle with track bar . Good product , EXCELLENT mfg. and customer service. Makes the price OK .

This solves the white knuckle driving experience on Ford F53 chassis
Installed the Rear Track Bar on our 2018 30’ Class A Winnebago Motorhome.Prior to installing this SS400 kit, passing trucks and diving in strong cross winds was very spooky. Tail wagging made driving unpredictable. Pulling a car on winding mountain roads was scary. The day of installation was very windy with 20 -25 mph gusts. Was able to a solid before and after comparison on the same 30 mile route. The difference was night and day.Once installed, driving became very predictable and relaxed. Driving single handed was comfortable and the other hand could be used for refreshments.I’m very pleased with this suspension upgrade. Together with Koni FSD Shocks and a front steering stabilizer, the rig has been transformed into a rig my wife could drive. At some point I might consider front radius rods.

No blow over from big rigs
I have install sway bars on front and back and installed steering stabilizer. I believe this has been the biggest improvement on the wind and big rigs passing me in my motorhome.

Worked great
I’ve had a lot of issues with controlling my motor home when its windy or big rigs passing this stopped 90 % of the issues. This stops the back of the motor home from steering the motor home. Loved this addition.
