More Than Gourmet Roasted Chicken Demi Glace, 1.5 Ounce (Pack of 6)

Bought this product because of reviews but after using it realized that I already had the flavor using my own ingredients. Not much enhancement, but a good product for those who need it.

I absolutely love this product. Whenever I use chicken stock, I almost always add some of the demi-glace which really produces great flavor. I love adding it to cooking rice. If you added to a chicken stock or chicken broth you've got very flavorful soup. It's not the cheapest but the utility it has is amazing. I also enjoy the other Demi glazes they have such as beef and turkey. They can make great additions to gravy and I am absolutely committed to this product. It comes in small packages that can either be split in half or used fully depending upon your portion size. You probably will take some time to know exactly how much to put in but it is definitely worth the effort.

Found a recipe we loved from a restaurant that closed long ago. This was a main ingredient, and the meal turned out perfectly. Will definitely purchase again.

Making something that needs a flavor punch? Stir in a packet of this stuff. It is packed with flavor and you will get compliments whenever you use it. It's pricy so I didn't give it 5 stars but when you consider that it is very concentrated and that requires a large quantity of ingredients it's probably a fairish price.

This gem has changed the way I pour a dollop of sauce in a chicken recipe, noodle, rice or orzo. I mix this with water and add to all of the above. Great results! Great boost of flavor. Play around with it in your favorite recipes. I and the family loves the result. And if you only use a dollop, it freezes beautifully.

This product was excellent. I used it in an Osso Bucco. I couldn't find Veal Demi Glaze but the chicken one did perfect. If you've ever made Demi Glace you realize that even spending a little money on one already made is so much worth the saved time. And remember, if you make your own, you're going to need a lot of ingredients. I found that this probably evened out and I didn't even need to do anything. I would recommend.

The ingredients list checks all the boxes and makes me think I'm getting concentrated chicken flavor. But it doesn't taste anything like chicken and doesn't add much flavor to my sauce. Instead, it's a thick goo that looks and smells a little like molasses. Only heat can dissolve the goo into liquid and the only way to get it to taste like chicken is to add chicken stock. In the end, I can barely tell I used it and the only difference is that it adds a little sweetness to the sauce. It's not terrible but it adds nothing.

Fist let me say that I am not a gourmet cook. I like to cook and wanted to try a new recipe from the Williams-Sonoma catalog. The recipe called for Demi-Glace and since I had no idea what that was, I did a web search and found both a recipe and the ability to purchase. Purchase was definitely the way to go. This configuration, multiple, small containers was certainly preferable to a large jar I might never get the full use of before it spoiled. The 1.5 ounce package held just slightly more than the recipe called for and, since the meal received rave reviews did what it was required to do. Until opened these do not require refrigeration and store easily in the kitchen cabinet till needed again. This added such an excellent flavor to the sauce i'll be tempted to up the ante and use this in basic gravy. Good product that delivered as advertised.
