Bought this more so for the field books, thinking the binder would just be an added bonus. For $25 +- this thing is great. Well made, thick leather with pockets. I've got it loaded with 2 field books in it, some personal spread sheets and the pockets can still hold some loose items.The item on the left might be made of better leather, but it's not nearly as useful as this one. Oh and the left item costs $75 +- with the monogram.

I needed leather real leather. This claimed to be split grain. Feels like bonded leather. I will not be able to keep this artificial cover in a pocket without causing me issue. I will be returning. The seller needs to be a lot more honest with their description. For the price it can't be used for the purpose I purchased for.

This is a well-made, affordable notebook cover that comes with LOTS of handy notebooks. I'm giving it 4 stars for onereason only: the front cover of each notebook does not fit in the inside flap of the leather cover because the flap is toowide. To get the front cover of the (paper) notebook tucked into the front (leather) flap requires EXTREME bending of thenotebook cover, to the extent that, basically, the notebook cover is creased in the extreme. Not the best design, frankly.

I bought it on a late night impulse buying spree for no good reason. When I got it, I threw it in a drawer for several weeks thinking it's so plain (it's brown). Then I started to use it and really became quite fond of it. I have several notebooks of different size and type and I found myself gravitate to this one all the time now. Just the right size and weight.

Very handy and slim notebook, use #5 refills. I love all kinds and have a tons of notebooks in different sizes. I Ike this one for its slim profile and came with 5 refills!

This is a high quality leather cover that can be used with the standard "green" military book. It's a tight fit at first but since it is real leather it will stretch and accommodate those books well. The field notes books that come with it are fine but they don't have many pages, that's why I put the standard green military book in their place.
