i love that it leaves no smell, it is pretty easy to use except i have 3 liter boxes in different areas so i have to carry it around. only gets to be annoying when it starts getting full lol. i have 2 cats and have to empty it every 2-3 weeks. overall i just want to get 2 more to keep at every litter box lol.

As the title says, I didn’t think this was essential until I used it for the first time. WOW! How did I ever live without it? It really does lock in smell, is super easy to use, and overall is just a wonder to have. If you’re on edge—GET IT!

We used to have a small litter genie but recently adopted two young kitties so got this one.When we opened it, we noticed it has no springs on the sliding door which seems important since this door is what helps to keep odor inside.Once in use, it seems easier to use without the springs. It's been about a week and this size holds a tremendous amount of waste while greatly reducing odors.I recommend this size over the smaller ones because emptying the genies are, to me, tiresome and nasty. Using this larger size reduces the frequency of the changes tremendously.

I love this thing! When I first got it, I thought it looked too small, but it really isn't; holds way more than one would think. These are the things I love about it: (NOTE: I have one cat that uses the indoor litter box, the other uses the one in the attached garage, so I am reviewing the product as used with ONE CAT.)1. Only requires emptying every 2 to 3 weeks and it involves opening the cover, tying the bag tightly closed, replacing it with a new one, and taking the used one out to the garbage can. EZ-PZ! (See #3 for how I use grocery bags.)2. No odor.....NONE! (Some of this may also be attributed to the litter I'm using.)3. Can be riggy-ma-rigged to use plastic grocery bags rather than the expensive refills. (I use one pkg of the refills for a "chute", meaning I cut it off just long enough to direct the contents being added into the plastic grocery bag without letting anything get misdirected. Keeps the inside perfectly clean and I only have to cut a new "chute" if the existing one gets dirty, which is very seldom using the litter I do (which I also LOVE - Arm and Hammer clumping "Slide"). I've not had this thing long enough to know for sure, but using it this way, one pkg of the special bags should last me a year.4. Reasonable price5. It's nice looking, clean, sleek, neat, nice neutral color.6. The very sleek plastic its made ofis easy to wipe down should you need to do so.7. Some say the opening could be a little bigger, and it did seem small at first, but it fits my litter scoop and the "drawer" on the new litter box I just got, so it's not a thing for me.What I don't care for (I had to think hard):The "latching" closure on the cover can be a little wonky and the seems fragile. I'm concerned that it will be a problem down the road, maybe not far down the road. I'm very careful with it, but if you have kids or a spouse that do the little box chore, first of all, lucky you, secondly, the cover may suffer the consequences of rougher treatment. Time will tell as far as longevity of the closure.All in all, I'd buy this thing again and again and again! It just makes the whole litter box routine so much easier and less distasteful! Wonderful product! (I docked one star for the wonkly closure that seems fragile.)

UPDATE: I’ve had this litter genie for several months now, and I am happier than ever that I got it. The larger size can go for at least two weeks before needing to be emptied. The only negative with that is the bag weight with two week’s worth of used litter - it gets heavy. No odor or unpleasant smell and it is so easy.For several years, I used a three-gallon bucket with lid lined with a couple of trash bags to collect the clumps and poo from the litter box. We have two kitty girls and a jumbo litter box for them, so they keep us busy. Thought this was a great system until I pet sit at a friend's house for their kitties and saw how well their litter genie worked. I was there a week so got to see for myself how well this litter solution works.Ordered my own litter genie in a larger size, set it up (easy peasy) and am so happy I did. Why did I wait so long??? I know there are no perfect solutions, and everyone has their own, but this litter genie does a wonderful job.

I wish I purchased this years ago. It makes it so much difference in the odor of my living space and my trash can. It’s very convenient and the bags last a while.

I've got a diaper genie for my baby, and was really excited to find I could treat my cat's poo to the same disposal experience!It contains smell well. My only issues are how top heavy this is after removing the poo sausage. The receptacle always falls over when I'm removing the bag. Other than that, I like the shelf that you can close to seal off stink and that the scoop has a little holder that hangs off the side.Bravo, waste managers!

Tengo dos gatos, y dos cajas de arena, asi que debía eliminar desechos rapidamente para que no se generaran olores.LO QUE MAS ME GUSTOCon este sistema se eficienta el control de los desechos, pues los acumulo por unos 5-6 dias antes de sacarlos y tirarlos.Sella muy bien y no deja salir olores, nada de olores.Es muy facil de poner la bolsa y eliminar los desechos. Aunque saques la bolsa con desechos esta esta muy bien hecha que no permite ningún olor escaparse aun estando afuera del contenedor.Sigo recolectando los desechos igual de rapido, pero no tengo que andar colocándolos en una bolsa y luego en otra y asi para que no generen olores.LO QUE NO ME GUSTOEl contenedor es alto y no tiene buen balance. Al moverlo o arrastrarlo es muy normal que debido al peso en la parte superior, este tienda a caerse inclinándose muy facil. Ya supere este problema empujando con el pie de la parte inferior, pero creo que se puede mejorar el diseño.El sistema de corte de bolsa es bueno, pero no siempre funciona correctamente, se tiene en ocasiones que deslizar segmentos de la bolsa y no todo el plastico completo. Es una navaja protegida, pero es cuestión de agarrar maña y ya se soluciona. Aunque me sigue molestando.

Best purchase of 2023! Works as advertised and practically no smell at all. The refills are a bit pricey but there are other brands that are cheaper. Highly recommend this!

I have four cats.After a few weeks of using this pail, I feel I can do a fairly accurate review of the product.Odour control. It ticks that box. Note, it only says odour control in the wording, not odour eliminating. However, between the cat litter I started using for my cats, and this pail, the odour control is far higher than I expected.It's taller and narrower, rather than shorter and wider. Therefore it fits in the spare I have available far better than any normal kind of bin I've used in the past. So you might want to double check the space you have available against the measurements of the pail.I have four cats. Four indoor cats. The cartridge with the plastic insert is lasting well. I wasn't too sure about how strong it would be just tying knots in the bottom, and once filled, in the top, but surprisingly it's worked fine so far. Indeed, I've had ordinary bin bags give way on more than one occasion compared to this.How long does it take to fill the pail before it requires being emptied? For my four cats, it lasts about seven days before I have to remove the waste, and tie a new knot in the bottom of the plastic to start the process all over again.The downside? The initial outlay is far more than your normal bin from a supermarket. However, it has been pretty well designed and does the job better than a bog-standard bin. The other downside? The cartridge with the plastic interior is a bit expensive in my view, but overall it does the job well so I can kind of look beyond that - for now at least.A little detail is the holder for the litter scoop clips onto the inner edge of the pail, and is easy to remove so you can keep it clean. Plus, the top where the plastic doesn't cover is also easy to wipe down with an appropriate cleaner, so it all helps contain those odours to which I referred.Would I recommend this product? Actually, yes I would. I thought it might be far more of a gimmick than a serious piece of animal husbandry, but it definitely isn't a gimmick.

This is one of the best things I’ve bought from Amazon and luckily managed to grab it before it sold out!Usually I’d have to open the back door to pop the poop in a small bin outside next to the door.Now there is no need for poo bags, open, drop and pull the lever. Runny poos I’d recommend you can bag just so it doesn’t muck up the plastic bag. And no need to go outside to the bin! I’ve had this for 4 days now in a 2 cat household and have zero smells. Very handy and looks great and subtle.Worth every penny, order it!

Leider kam das Produkt defekt an, bei den hohen Frachtkosten und der längeren Lieferzeit erst mal ärgerlich. Amazon hat die Ware aber ohne wenn und aber erstattet.Der Artikel ist sehr groß, die Farbe eher braun mit beige (Schieber und oberer Deckel), als silber.Im Vergleich zum „Litter locker“ ist die Kassette viel einfacher einzusetzen, kein unnötiges Gefummel und Plastiklaschen, die oft abreissen. Der Behälter ist sehr gross, bzw hoch, allerdings hat der untere Teil einen unnötig großen, unschönen Schlitz, nicht wie auf der Verpackung gezeigt. Die Streuschaufel hat recht grobe Löcher, für feines Klumpstreu nicht so sehr geeignet. Alles in allem lohnt es sich eher nicht, über 30€ Frachtkosten dafür zu zahlen.
