When they said used they weren't lying
15% of the puzzles were done and a few of the pages were torn out. It looks like there were at least 3 maybe 4 people working on them and they made a lot of mistakesIt's ok because I got a good discount and hey it's a crossword book. It's not like it's going on the bookshelf when it's doneI would probably buy another used one to save money

NOT easy or calming, but do crossword on
These are NOT EASY. My husband and I - both college grads - each have one of these books and do a crossword every morning from Monday through Saturday (Sundays are for Sunday crosswords). It is rare that either one of us finishes them on our own and end up putting them together to finish. I wanted easy puzzles that make you think a little, but don't irritate you for the weekdays. These are not it. Too many contrived clues and answers, too many obscure names, places, titles etc. in one puzzle. Quite frankly, I don't keep calm, but I do crossword on.

Good crossword but not exactly easy
Good crossword but not exactly easy. The only thing I dont like is that the book doesn't lie flat so its hard to do the crosswords on the left hand side. Some of the puzzles are themed which is annoying; the answers may be shapes (think picture of heart in one box then the word attack for valentine's day)and that's no fun for me. Otherwise, great book!

Easy is in the eyes of the puzzler, clearly.
Of course I know that anyone's usage of an adjective has a relative and subjective meaning. Yet, when I look for an "easy" crossword I was hoping for a step up from the dollar store easy crosswords where 97% of the clues seem repeated throughout the books puzzles and can be completed pretty effortlessly in about 10-15 mins, yet not so challenging in the clues that I'm tempted to google or Wikipedia the answers after working on it in intervals over several sessions.I guess I have to become more familiar with popular trivia and NYT's puzzles and clues in order to classify this one as "easy".

NOT easy
I was looking to get into cross-words, so I picked an easy book. This is NOT easy, I am not a dull person and my vocabulary is average. I can’t seem to get any of the puzzles even a quarter completed. Many answers appear to be one thing (simple) but are actually a word meaning the same thing that I have never heard of. I should give this book to an English professor or something. Nice decoration I guess.
