The metal shaft on this tool is incredibly knife-sharp -- four edges that will cut you badly if your hand slips while using (very easy to do). I tried to file them, but then had to wind electrical tape around the entire shaft to cover all the edges. The metal should have been carefully rounded -- very poor engineering! NOT safe to use as delivered!!!

First of all, I'm thrilled that this kitchen tool is made in the USA! Second, it exceeded my expectations for breaking up ground beef during cooking. We have to buy ground beef to boil for our little, 15-year old dog, who has some health problems. Previously during this process, the beef floated all around in the water and was difficult to break up with just a spatula. Not any more!One feature that I didn't expect is that the edge that breaks up the meat is fairly sharp, and cuts through the meat very quickly!. It is easy to clean and easy to use. I highly recommend it!

This is a surprisingly functional kitchen tool. Never had any trouble with the edges of the handle as one reviewer noted, but as a precaution I ran a knife steel over them, a few swipes and problem solved. Never had any cleaning problems, just chucked it in the dishwasher. It is great on ground beef, and the blade material Never scratched the surface of any non-stick pan.That said, I paid around $4.00, which was crazy cheap. I think the current price is $16.00, which is way too high. I feel the sweet spot for this tool would be about $7.99.

This tool was AMAZING for shredding pork loin that I cooked in our pressure cooker. It did take some muscle but it shredded it so nicely. Didnt have to burn my fingers trying to do it like before. Very sturdy tool, will be using for turkey burger & chorizo tonite. Should work just as well. Would recommend for sure!

Fantastic little kitchen tool! Hubby is always skeptical about my Amazon purchases. Well, he used this on Thanksgiving to crumble the roll of sausage for my Cornbread Sausage Stuffing. He lived it! It crumbled that roll of sausage in no time! Uniformly crumbles sausage, at that! I imagine it will be the same with ground beef & other foods. It cleaned up nicely.A great little tool for the price. All kitchens should have one.Arrived in great condition and on time. I would recommend this

I saw one similar on HSN, Curtis Stone was doing a demo on his and I thought, gee, I do the same thing with a fork. Then I saw this for 4 dollars and thought I'd give it a try. I fried a couple of Beyond Burgers then changed my mind and wanted tacos so I grabbed this little tool and now I get it!!! It was better than trying to breakup the patties with a fork... for sure!

We use this mainly to cook our ground turkey in the skillet. It makes the meat much easier to chop into small bits. I have used a name brand version of this product before. This brand is just as good. I have since bought this for various family members.

This is the best kitchen tool that I've found that breaks up the clumps of ground meat when it is added to the fry pan. Easy to use and easy to clean, not expensive. If you regularly have ground meat in your recipes, this is the tool for you.

I usually don’t purchase a kitchen tool that only does one thing but this one is exceptional!! I saw one of the home cooks using it on a YouTube show and it looked interesting. This one actually has an extra blade then the one she had been using. This works soooo wonderfully at breaking down the solid block of ground beef into small pieces. With three or four pushes on this the entire pound or more is broken up...I’ve used it on meat straight from the fridge and I’ve also used it on partially frozen ground beef and it works well with both. I’m disabled and my hands shake a lot at the best of times, this helps me a lot because it saves me a lot of time breaking the hamburger up, and I can keep the meat from escaping out of the pan which can be a real problem and fire hazard. Honestly I don’t know how I got by without it before! Makes ground beef crackslaw a breeze!

Was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this tool. Everywhere I looked it was all plastic and double the price. Is it a necessary tool, no. But it sure does make browning hamburger a breeze.Pretty neat tool.

Excellent for chopping up ground meats and when making refried beans while cooking. A good length of handle and edges are good for separating and squashing. Easy to clean and no little crevices for food to get stuck in.

For the price this little gadget is a must have for cooking! I wouldn't pay $20 but for $7 you can't beat it. Easier to cook ground beef/ chicken then with a spatula and same for mashing potatoes or canned tomatoes.

This works great - made it easy to chop/break up ground turkey and beef. I was worried I wouldn't like that part of the handle was metal but it doesn't bother me at all. Would recommend.
