Nearly the Only REAL GLASS Readers You Can Purchase Today
Years ago, plastic lenses were marketed as the best lenses you could buy. It's true that the technology has improved over the years, and there are some sophisticated polycarbonate lenses out there that are pretty good. but glass? It can't be beaten for transmission of light, clarity, and sharpness. Don't believe me? I'm a photographer and my most expensive German-made lens filters are made of Schott glass, the same material used for the lenses of this frame. As soon as you put them on, you can really see the difference, especially when it comes to reading text on a page. The other reviewers are right that the FRAMES of these lenses, while thick, are a bit fragile, and seem like they could crack. Extra care is called for. And if they do crack, super-glue them together so you can keep getting the great benefits of real glass. I'm preparing to order a second pair before these disappear because I've never seen glass readers in 20 years. Run, don't walk, to buy them.

Look and feel great!
I bought the wrong prescription and had to send them back. But I tried them for a minute and they look and feel great. I am SO over trying to keep plastic lenses clear! There seems to be no way to do it. So it's time for the old un-improved material: GLASS! Seems the clear choice. Glass eye-glasses suddenly cost 65X the cheapo plastic ones you can get at Dollar Tree. I remember when it was the other way around, the new 'unbreakable' plastic lenses cost more. ( I'm old. ) But they didn't tell us that those plastic lenses would gradually turn opaque. And that there was really no way of cleaning them (at least not the cheap ones) without scratching them. I am saving up for my next pair.

Great lense. Junky frame
This is my second pair. I like the glass as they don’t melt when you accidentally spray acetone on them. The first pair I had on croakies, and I leaned against something and they broke at the frame. I figured it was my fault. I bought a second pair and I moved them from the brim of my hat to my face and the lens flew out. The frame broke again! I don’t know how. I think these frames are junk. I would never buy Another pair! Would like to return if possible
