Lactose intolerant people should love this
I took a major risk on this product. Growing up, I was lactose intolerant. It turned me against milk. I have been using protein supplements for years and always mixed them in water. People would always say, "Eww, water with a protein shake?" It's not that bad, people. I had noticed that I have been getting worse about snacking on sweet foods. I honestly don't like sweet foods. But I was eating M&Ms, Almond Joy, Mounds, cake and was worried that I was letting myself get too into sweet foods. So, my daughter, who isn't lactose intolerant, loves almond milk. I tried some of hers with one of my protein shakes. I even let the shake sit in the freezer to make kind of a chocolate protein milkshake. It was good! It also didn't hurt me. For those people who try to convince lactose intolerant people of "it won't hurt you", please, understand that we've had hard lives! You all eat your ice cream and we paid triple for some frozen yogurt. We were even scared to eat macaroni and cheese. Milk to a lactose intolerant person is like poison. No offense to Almond Breeze. I have now drank two entire cases of this. I even got creative (bad idea) and tried the coconut almond with my chocolate protein shake, it was okay, but the unsweetened Almond Breeze is perfect in my Naked Nutrition chocolate protein shake. Oh and by the way, keep it away from the teenagers. They have no courtesy. They will drink a whole container and not put another one in the fridge. Probably the best compliment possible was from my son who is 13, he said, "This milk is so good. It's my new favorite because I can drink the whole container." No clue that us parents pay for this stuff. Thinks I've got an almond cow outside. Seriously, really good product, I like the shelf-sustainability. We have a lot of food and drinks and everything else in the fridge, so I can just grab one and get it cold and make my 2 shakes for the day.

Best Ever!
When I was told I needed a "dairy free diet" along with my other " do withouts", I tried several kinds of milk but when I came upon Autumn Woods Original Unsweetened, I thought "this couldn't be. It taste sweet enough for me. This was the first time I can ever remember being able to drink a glass of milk without eating something with it. All I have for breakfast everyday is my cereal and milk and sometimes a bowl at night.

Price has greatly gone UP
It WAS cheaper to buy this by the case here on Amazon instead of at local grocery stores (I paid just $23.27 for a pack of 12 here on Amazon last time), but I just went to buy it again, and the lowest price for 12 is now $35.00!! Even a pack of 6 is way more expensive. Definitely cheaper to just get it at local grocery stores, now! As to taste, we love it, and use it in cooking more than regular milk, even just drinking it--much healthier, too.

A good base for smoothies or vegan protein drinks
Blue Diamond Almonds Breeze Dairy Free Almondmilk, Unsweetened Original, is a good pantry staple. It doesn’t have to be refrigerated until opened and is an excellent vegan alternative to dairy milk.An 8 ounce cup contains only 30 calories but is rich in calcium and vitamine E. I use this as a base for smoothies as well as my protein mixes. The unsweetened original allows me more flexibility in either using sweeteners of my choice when needed or not having too much sweetener if using an already sweetened protein mix.Blue Diamond Almonds Breeze Dairy Free Almondmilk is a healthy non-dairy drink or recipe substitute for milk.

Bought as an experiment, but now I'm hooked
I love this milk, although it did take a bit of getting used to. Before going ahead and buying a pack of 12, I would recommend buying individual from a local grocery store, to see if it is something you like.My purpose in trying almond milk was to eliminate dairy for a week to see if I felt better without dairy in my diet. At the end of the week I decided that, for my body, it seemed to be a better option. I still have dairy (cheese and yoghurt), but I use this milk where-ever possible. At first I only mixed it with other things, but now I'm at the point where I sometimes like to drink a glass by itself. Mostly though, I have it with my cereal, I've added it as a milk substitute in flan (wonderfully light, surprised it worked), tea (so-so), and various recipes (great).Curiously, when incorporated with other ingredients in a recipe, the almond taste is very difficult to discern. My family has not noticed yet when I substituted this for normal dairy milk. I think it imparts a lighter taste than 2% milk. The boxes keep un-refridgerated for a long time.

Simple and perfect size for my son
The containers are small enough that my son can handle it with more ease with much less waste/accidents. Except for sweets, we use almond milk in everything else. And with the mini cartons we save a lot of space in the fridge for other items - specially with summer temperatures and having to put more items in the fridge to extend longevity and freshness.
