Worked for me
This holder worked alright. I bought about 10 cards from HD to use with the unit. The cardboard gets soggy after a little while, but I managed to paint the entire house and still had a couple pieces left. I tried to let the paint dry in the sun and re-use the shields later, but at 58 cents a piece I probably should have bought more and not tried to re-use. I'm thinking I might be able to cut a piece of paneling to use, but then I guess you would have to worry about the paint build up and drips. I'm just a DIY'er, but I would recommend this shield holder.

Buy this! You will paint MUCH faster and neater with it.
This was a God send. I have prayed fences and shed before and did not know about this, so used a fedex box stapled to a piece of furring. This is MUCH better, and makes the job fly. Very adjustable, so you can get it up close to trim, windows and doors. Holds cardboard securely. You will be amazed at how much faster you can go and how much neater you can be when using this (in combination with a threaded broom pole and a piece of cardboard from a box)

Nice idea, but needs refinement
This really is a million dollar idea. But as others have said its difficult to use (especially for DIYers) once the csrdboars shield become saturated with paint. This doesn't take long honestly if your shooting good quality latex (the stuff is heavy). Once coated the cardboard starts to flex and the shield becomes useless. For inexperienced shooters like myself, I found the best method to be to cut my own cardboard. I used a larger piece as the shield and a smaller (normal sized) as a backer to give it strength. The problem is this will wear out the grip on the head much faster and I found it nessessary to wrap tape around the pieces. (This was true even with one piece.) In summery the head needs to be stronger and wider with adjustable tension on the cardboard shield. Overall this is an invaluable tool when using a paint sprayer. But with so many flaws it really needs reengineered. The person that builds a better mouse trap will be able to retire in short order.

Good Quality
Used this with cardboard, for protecting from overspray. I got this holder, and adjustable handle and I was glad I did. This is not very expensive, and keeps your painting around the house, very fast, neat, and professional.

Great tool
Purchased this based on the recommendation of The Idaho Painter on YouTube. It's a shame that you can't find this thing locally. We looked everywhere and could only get it from Amazon. So glad they had it. It works as advertised and you can either use your own cardboard or purchase the premise ones for very cheap. The adjustments are easy to make and fast.

Low-cost device to prevent overspray
This is a great buy for $10. It connects into any standard, threaded, telescoping pole and the hinge has multiple stops to angle a cardboard insert. It's reusable, just keep your boxes from amazon to cut up =) No complaints for a $10 piece of plastic.
