Peekaboo Morning

Bought this as a gift for my baby nephew but his mama was very happy!

I got this in an Amazon book box back in 2019 and it has been well loved by two of my kids. This was one of my daughter's favorite books and she wanted me to read it over and over again. My son is now 16 months old and it has been his favorite for a few months now. He picked it out and had me read it to him three times tonight. I can't speak to the cultural authenticity as other reviews have as my kids and I are both white but I can say that this is a wonderful book that toddlers love.

Birthday gift for my nephew. Super cute! Mom loved it.

My 8 month old son loves this book. We’ve been reading it to him for a couple months now but he’s always happy to see it. I decided to buy one for my nephew’s first birthday and he loves it too.

My son loves this book! It’s so cute. He loves the pictures and suspense to see what the baby sees next. Would definitely recommend

My little one, who is 13 months and LOVES books immediately took to this one (which is not true of all books). I was so happy because I love the representation in the characters. The baby in the book could be a boy or girl and I think little ones can relate no matter their gender. I read some folks giving reviews on here saying They didn’t get why you have to turn the page to see who the child is playing peekaboo with. It’s because the book was written to be read like: “peekaboo! I see... *turns page* my mommy!” It builds a little suspense and adds to the surprise of the “game”.

My grandson loves the book. He enjoys reading and laughing.

I really love this book for my children, especially my 2 year-old son! He goes to preschool and he’s the only African American boy in his class so I especially love how the book has illustrations of children of different races playing with one another. He often points to the boy in the book and says it’s him; this makes my heart happy. I recommend every parent invest in this book for at home and in a classroom setting. It’s important for children to see diverse characters starting at a young age and this book does a great job of that for all cultures.

Nice text and pictures, until we get to feeding the puppy from the spoon, Yuck!. I am an Afrikan woman and have never seen this unhygienic practice in my community. This is eurocentric behaviour, not something to be encouraged in young children. I would not have bought the book had I seen this illustration. I hope the author will revise the next edition.

This is a great book, especially when the child has started to identify the people around him/her and things in his/her environment. It's a simple book. Definitely one of my favourite books.

I brought as a present for my little cousin who is 15 months to get him into black books, and also a fun interactive book and anyone can read to him at anytime. The price was right and delivery was quick.

Nice illustrations but the book is a bit to basic for the price. None the less kids like it but unlike the other books they have there not requesting to read it daily. Would be a good book to read to babies as it is very simple. So if read to them daily would probably help thier development in identifying things as well as learning to read along too.Nice book just maybe to basic for my lil ones and I belive it should be cheaper

I like the illustration as does my baby (aged 1 year) She was fully engaged. Colourful and soft feeling from the style of art used.
