Orca’s new Openwater wetsuit with high-vis neon orange neoprene makes safe and visible open water swimming a reality. For a triathlete, there’s nothing quite like the feeling of being out there in the open water, alone with your thoughts, the methodical rhythm of your stroke and the beautiful ocean. For some of us though, open water swimming can be a little daunting, and being visible for safety’s sake is a top priority for a feeling of security. Neon orange jersey smoothskin arms allow you to be extremely visible in the open water. With a thickness of 2-2.5mm Yamamoto neoprene all over, this suit is super flexible, giving you great freedom of movement in the open water.

I am a curvy 157 and 5'10" and it is perfect fit in an XL
This is a fabulous wetsuit. I am a curvy 157 and 5'10" and it is perfect fit in an XL. Large may have worked but could have been too snug for my shape. It offers fantastic range of motion for the arms and is super warm in 65 degree water. I swam in both lakes and the Atlantic Ocean in it for about 60 minutes each time (early AM Swims). It also has great buoyancy which is ideal for triathlons, which was my primary purpose for buying it.

Great freedom of movement
This wetsuit fits like a glove. I used Orca's size recommendation on their website (not the chart) I am 5'9" and 165lbs and by the chart I would be on the upper edge of Large. I ordered XL as recommended and it fits great. My only problem is that the arms and legs run a little short for me. This makes it more challenging to remove and put on quickly. But for a comfortable fit across the chest and shoulders I'm willing to accept the length. (It's possible that a men's might have fit better though.) One improvement in the wetsuit is if the zipper in the back could zip down a little further to speed up transition times. I've been swimming in 50 degree water and it provides the right amount of insulation for someone who doesn't mind the cold.

It "fits" but not comfortably & it is pretty
It "fits" but not comfortably & it is pretty. I ordered two different suits to compare fit and there's no way any triathlon-er would consider this easy on easy off for transition. Where's the room in the shoulders? If you're going swimming for hours and aren't in a hurry it might be worth the effort.

Very happy with this wetsuit
I am at the lower end of the height and weight bracket for medium, so I went ahead and ordered that size - it fits perfectly. The quality is good, the fabric is thinner and stretchier than I'm used to and the neckline is low but keeps water out. Good value for money.
