Lights Quickly Every Time
I am thrilled with my purchase of the Blow Torch - Creme Brulee Torch for my culinary adventures! This kitchen torch has exceeded my expectations in every way. One of the best features of this torch is how quickly and reliably it starts. With just a press of the ignition button, the flame ignites instantly, saving me valuable time in the kitchen. Whether I'm caramelizing sugar on a creme brulee or adding that perfect finishing touch to a steak, this torch delivers consistent and precise flames with ease. Safety is always a top priority, especially when working with open flames. This torch is equipped with fantastic safety features, including a safety lock to prevent accidental ignition and an adjustable flame control knob for customized use. These features give me peace of mind knowing that I can use the torch safely and efficiently. Additionally, the fuel gauge is a game-changer. It's incredibly convenient to have a clear indication of how much fuel is left, so I never have to worry about running out in the middle of a cooking session. In terms of usability, this torch is a dream. It fits comfortably in my hand, and the ergonomic design makes it easy to maneuver. Whether I'm in the kitchen or finishing off a dish tableside, the Blow Torch - Creme Brulee Torch is always ready to perform. Works well, universal refill, good purchase
Great torch. Received yesterday, used immediately (already bought the butane, Bernzomatic from hardware store with universal fill tube). I purchased a torch already (Iwatani Pro2) for creme brulee and the flame on that is huge and doesn't get small enough for the small containers I'm using. This one gets small enough but is still strong. I will say the "ease of use" and safety features took a second to figure out - you can let go of the safety lock while holding the trigger and the flame will stay on, which is nice, not safe though, and the muscle coordination is tricky so I end up having to relight it (but I'll get used to it - or just use it by keeping the trigger pulled as one would normally do).

Excellent quality, well made and constructed.
I found this to function exceptionally well. Note it comes empty so you have to fill it with butane for it to work. I had some capsules of lighter butane that I initially put into it. Very easy to fill with butane as long as you have the long nozzle version, which I think is very common, if you find the ones that says universal nozzle. Anyway, this blow torch is very well made and has safety features that I like. Once I filled it, I tested it and it lit right away and you have the knob that you can adjust the fuel flow. I had no problems turning it off either. There is a view window and you can see your butane level in it. Also it has a nice foot so that when you stand it up it will not tip over easy. I needed one for baking purposes like for meringue pies, so I am very happy with the quality of this product so far.

It works but refilling is messy
I got this brulee torch to use on foods that I cook in the sous vide. It does a good job of adding some sear without a lot of fuss or overcooking. The only issue is that refilling the tank is messy. I have a standard can of butane that works perfectly for my refillable lighters. The butane can has the 'long' nozzle that is required by this device. However, no matter what I do there is a lot of spraying/leaking when refilling this torch. Other than that it's easy to use and the safety features seem OK. Just refill it outside!

powerful little torch
Good little torch for my Creme Brule. I have tried a couple and this one is easy to fill and has enough power to quickly char the sugar. The flame is also adjustable which can be helpful.

DEAD FLINT, WONT LIGHT
How do you make something which is REFILLABLE have built in obsolescence? Of course, you make the other parts die quickly. So folks ignore the reviews as it seems most of those were written within 30 days of the reviewer receiving the product. After slightly over 2 years of occasional use indoors only, maybe refilled the gas 3 times total to give you an idea. It will not start on anything but full power (dangerously long flame) and it will only start about every 6 or 7 clicks. So mostly I am just using up fuel when I try and use it. Based on it's trajectory, I have the feeling VERY soon it will never start at all. I am very sad to be part of this generation where nothing lasts and everyone is in debt from replacing everything constantly. As for me, I will start ignoring any reviews on any product that don't start with "I have had this product for 2 years and been using it fairly regularly and here's what I see...."

Great dab torch
Iโve had this for a couple weeks and like it better than my old Newport torch. The Newport had a safety lever which eventually broke off and rendered it almost useless. This torch has a safety button which is much more convenient to use and can easily be operated with one hand. This Torch is a little bigger than the Newport and the flame is a little narrower, but longer, and seems to produce the same level of heat. For those who have never had a torch with a fill indicator window and are having filling issues like I did, you need to purge the air out of the tank before filling the butane. Compressed air builds up in the tank when you fill it and takes up all the space the butane should be occupying. This needs to be purged between each fill by pressing a pen or something sharp down on the valve on the bottom of the torch. Once the tank is fully empty of all gas, the butane will squirt right in and you will be able to see the liquid in the tank through the window.
