New Favorite!
Disana Woolies are our new favorite. I finally understand what the cloth mamas meant by bullet proof. Pop on a fitted diaper and this cover and you are dry until morning! BONUS they make for adorable beach photos!

Disana Wool, Love it
Being new to cloth diapering, I originally thought wool would be the worst materiel ever for a diaper cover. I am now a nighttime wool convert thanks to the Amazon reviews. The bulkiness and 2 day dry time after washing l is the only cons I have found in this cover. I soaked the cover in Eucalan for 20 minutes and had some seepage of urine into the cover the first week. After another wash and wear for 3 weeks the cover is now felting and is only slightly damp in the morning. It does not seem to wick into his cotton PJ’s. Apparently before use I had read on another site that you should wash 3 times before use, to utilize the wool properly. It seems to get more water proof with each use.I use the wool diaper only at night related to the bulkiness factor. I currently use Clooth-eez pre folds and occasionally workhorses for underneath. the diaper cover. I had an ammonia smell to the pre fold before I figured out the vinegar trick and the wool diaper did take on the smell of the pre fold easily fixed with washing. After washing and rolling in a towel, I stick a dishcloth on the inside of the diaper and change the dishcloth about 6 hours with a dry dishcloth. It does speed up the drying time, so I can almost get it down to 15 hours, which is when I would like to put it back on him again. The reason I prefer the wool over PUL at night, is the airflow to the bottom. PUL left on long with a wet diaper will show some redness. I have had rather saturated night diapers and his bottom dries quickly without the redness or irritation.Sizing wise I have been using the 3-6 month diaper since he was 8.5 lbs. It appeared a bit large initially, but fits him well now at 12 lbs, with room to grow.. For my baby the month sizing will probably be a bit off because he’s only 2 months old, but I’m glad I bought this for him as a newborn and feel I will get good use out of it and will be able to resell since the wear seems only to enhance the performance. If considering wool, I have found the long PJ’s with the hole in the bottom and buttons for the head are my favorite for ease of use.

Love these!
I almost gave up on cloth diapers at night until I tried these wool diaper covers. My son is a heavy wetter and is 5.5 months old. He recently started waking up during the night and we would find that he leaked through his diaper. Well, we switched to hemp/bamboo inserts and added these to the routine. The wool covers are a little damp in the morning, but he sleeps through the night! We just brought a second one. Love these!

I loooove this diaper cover!!!
It took me a bit to understand how to care for a wool diaper cover (I.e. Lanolizing) and what type of diaper to use under it, but now that I have, I am in love with this cover. It is so soft and absolutely nothing breathes better. My two year old loves it too and requests it now. It is very easy to care for once you figure it out. I use it for naps and overnight. I use a prefold underneath with snappi clip. It never leaks and always smells clean. Once it starts smelling at all like urine, you know it is time to wash/lanolize (which for me is about once per month). I use Eucalan wash and imse vimse wool cure. Add about 2 tbsp to about a cup of hot water in a jar and shake until it is dissolved. Add this with ~1/2 tsp of wash to room temp water in the sink and soak for a few hours. Then squeeze water out and roll up in a towel (then a second towel) to dry. Air dry for about 1 day after this and you are ready to go. Sounds complicated but it is not and no other diaper do I only need to spend about 10 active minutes per month on to keep clean! 5 stars++++!

Great value!!!
Works well for my 11 month old who still nurses all night long! I bought two of these and both are bulletproof! I have used Sloomb brand wool pants and covers unsuccessfully.I lanolized these three times before first use! I will post pictures later! Love these and very highly recommend!

Great, bulletproof diaper cover for extended wear
I love wool and use it exclusively with cloth diapers, as it's more breathable than PUL and I prefer the natural fibers. I've owned MANY, MANY soakers, and have used this Disana soaker in multiple sizes. It's a soft, thick, high-quality soaker made of double-layer knit organic wool. It's bulky and high-waisted (will fall somewhere between baby's belly button and nipples depending what size you buy), so it's not at all a good choice for under clothing, but it's excellent worn as a pants replacement over cloth. It will felt slightly with regular use, causing it to shrink slightly (it'll seem ridiculously large when you first take it out of the package), and making it bulletproof in terms of wetness protection. It's excellent for extended wear (e.g. naps and nighttime), especially after getting felted. If lanolized properly -- and used with a sufficiently absorbent diaper -- it will not leak even when used overnight. IMO it runs slightly small -- I would recommend sizing up to allow for room to grow, especially if your baby is in the higher end of the weight range for any given size.If you're considering this cover, also consider the very similar wool soaker from Engel ( Engel Organic Merino Wool Double Knitted Nappy Cover-Natural-74/80 (6-12 mo) ). They're very similar, but IMO the Engel doesn't pill as easily and may be a better choice for babies with chunkier thighs...but it's usually a little bit more expensive. If you are looking for other thick soakers for extended wear, I also recommend Sloomb covers (the double-layer chunky knit ones), Woollybottoms (interlock or upcycled wool), Wild Coconut Wear (interlock), or any other interlock you can find. If you're looking for trim soakers for underneath clothing, I recommend Loveybums (single-layer pull-on interlock or wrap-style double-layer), Sloomb underwoolies (double-layer fine knit), or Babee Greens (double-layer side-snap soakers).PHOTO: Shows a felted Engel soaker in size 74/80 (left) next to a felted Disana soaker in size 98/104 (right).
