An interesting, foundational book; very useful
Although I am an NA person, and a “ecstatic agnostic” (my term) this very old-school book had a lot of ideas I found fresh, cool, and creative. Enjoy!!

Very Helpful with Step Work
My sponsor encouraged me to get this book, and all I can say is wow! Joe McQ lays out all the steps is in a very understandable way. Though he does make mention of God, it's not overpowering, but is done in such a way that it makes you desire to find a Higher Power of your own understanding. He constantly references the Big Book of AA, but no matter what 12-step program you're in, you will find this book helpful in working your steps. Even though my chosen program is Adult Children of Alcoholics/Dysfunctional Families, this book helped me to understand each step in depth, and how to break it down so it was easier to get through. Each chapter builds off of the last, and he words it so that each step builds off of the last. So whether it's for yourself, a friend, or a sponsee, this book easily breaks down the steps to help you walk through them. Overall, it's a great book, and a must have, for any 12-stepper.

The Steps We Took
This is a real good book to help someone that is in recovery work the 12 steps. Joe shares his experience, strength and hope with all those recovering from addictions, all who want to recover, and all who love them. This is an easy to read and simple to understand book. This is why I was drawn to the book. The style is easy to follow. I have only one complaint and it really nothing to do with Joe at all. My sponsor noticed that the book was not published by Hazelton which means it is not AA approved literature.. I had no idea that there was a difference and now that I know I'm including that information here so you will know too. The Steps We Took

12 steps addition
This is excellent to help understand the 12 step program. I use this for Clutterers anonymous, yes, it’s a real thing! I find it much easier to understand the process through this book than any of the others. Thank you! Nicely done.

Best addition to the BB I've ever read and worked ...
A book that years ago helped me simplify what is already a simple book - The Big Book of AA. I bought several copies to donate to newcomers in the new, small town to which I've moved. All copies were quickly grabbed up. Best addition to the BB I've ever read and worked with.
