What does Taperd mean?

Tapered refers to the shape of the can. It is not completely square. It’s narrow on top and slightly wider on the bottom.

What is the expiration date?

The expiration date is different for every lot. Amazon cannot tell you specific date for orders. the date is printed on the cans. I can tell you from personal experience that canned goods expiration dates can be exceeded by YEARS! If you don't like the date after receiving it you can return it or donate to a food bank.
